Hi fellow IBS sufferers. I would like your advice if you can - i finally have letter through about camera for coeliac in hospital. As this is a general anaesthesic i have to have a meeting first on Wednesday, typically in the middle of the day. Question is what happens at these meetings? Do i need to be not eating or anything like? Ive never done this before. Please help, i have read letter and don't quite get it. I know i need the camera etc but should i be worried? Thanks

The meeting is a pre-op assessment. It's to assess your suitability for anaesthesia. It's just basically a bunch of questions, nothing to worry about

Thanks so much leeniepie, glad someone knows what this. I just didn't know, i have to have a general anaesthetic because the local anaesthesic didn't work it was just too tough. Can i ask 1 more question and ask why i need to take my medication with me?

Hi Sam I'm pleased to hear that you have an appointment for the camera it will help to sort out any misgiving's about your health. Funny enough i went to hospital 2 days ago and had the procedure done, they also done a biopsy and found that i have an infection that can be sorted with antibiotics.
When you show your prescription details it's to see if you are having any adverse reactions with them, it's a simple procedure Sam .
