After months of gradually reducing from 20 mg I am now at about 2.5, more or less - hard to be accurate at this amount..
Any advise what to do next? Impossible to divide any further. Should I just stop after a couple more weeks? My job, family life etc is busy, all consuming, so would like to avoid any downtime.
By the way I feel so much better with less of this drug in me. I really had to learn to relax and breath, healthy perspective. For those of you trying to get off or reduce it is absolutely doable.

Hey man glad to hear you've been successful. ive read some people crush the 2.5 and divide into 1.25 and add to water. I too will be looking to taper from 20mg near Spring. How exactly did you taper? Any bad withdrawal effects? How long did you take the 20mg dosage before tapering?

Hi took about 6 months to get to 2.5. Very gradual. Everything I had read about withdrawal was frightening so wanted to avoid the worst of it. Every so often I would have an awful day but tolerable. I never ever felt good on this drug so goal was to get off asap - I was on it for about 14 months. I suppose I should have realized that it was not the drug for me when I had wretched side effects when I started.
I will take your advise and crush and divide. Soon ..no more AD'S for me!
Thx Shane

Hi Shane, I found that skipping a day a week, then two days a week & so on done the trick, hopefully it will work for you also,as you say, It's nice to feel 'human' again!

Hi Shane, as soon as you feel settled on 2.5mg, that is the time to come off it. Good luck with this, some people take every other day, but if you are sensitive to them it may affect you. I am just over 7 weeks off them, and went cold turkey, it has been hell. I do get more good than bad days but find I cannot overdo anything at the moment, otherwise all good.

Thanks for the advise Paula & Mike. I have a hectic schedule for the next couple of weeks. Perhaps I will try to reduce the 2.5 a bit smaller and skip the odd day then stop completely once my biz travel is complete mid January. Been a long haul. Cannot wait to be over and done.
Hope your bad days are all behind you soon Paula! I know what you mean though. I find I have really had to pace myself thruout this withdrawal. Awful stuff.
Thx Shane

Yes, so true about pacing yourself! I have to plan my life so I do not overdo anything, it is hard with work so can appreciate your struggles, hang in there it will get better and will be worth it in the end.
