ive been on 50 mg for almost a year saw my doc he upped me too 100mg... ive been on a 100mg before but it feels worse this time spacey nausea dizzy really tired stomach hightened anxiety are theses just temporary symptoms? its been a really hard day. if any one can give me a helpful answer i would appreciate it. feels like when you up your dose to feel better you have to go through all the negative things you had when you first started out ive been on zoloft for about 7 years first at 50 mg then 100 up to 150 down to 100 then 50 now back to 100 think 50 was too low

Hi! Yes they're transient side effects, although at the time you feel like they'll never go away. Hang in there as it will get better xx

      Hi Gabriellel

I found it easier to go up by 25mg at a time- wait 4 weeks then up again.

100mg was too much for me.  I’m now on 75mg for 2 weeks- still have intense morning fatigue and dry mouth.  May go back to 50mg.  My anxiety is well managed now.

You will level out, it just takes time for your body to re-stabilize.  Ensure that your eating and drinking well to help it’s absorption.

      Best of luck xx

    hello,

?I understand how you feel its been a long journey for me with Zoloft. I never believed in meds my whole family has been on meds and I use to think that they were being weak for not doing it without meds until I hit 28 I started to get severe anexity really really bad to the point where I had to stop working out . I really had no clue what to do I was so depressed and sad cause I wasn't feeling good. I tried everything to help myself but I ha no other option left but to go on meds. so the doc told me to go on Zoloft. I went to 25 to 50 to 100 it was bad but I was feeling worse when I wasn't on them. It was bad but after almost a year but than I felt good again all symtoms were gone so I stoped taking them which was a no no . I thought because I felt better that I didn't need them so for about 8months I was feeling good than all of a sudden I started feeling sick again . I was like oh no !! so I thought by starting on 50 would help but I guess I wasn't taking them correctly so I got horrible symtoms . I lost weight , neck pain headaches and even sucicidual thoughts. so I went down 25 than up 50 again. I was on 50 for about 6months and I didn't get any better.i went through a lot . so I decided to up the dose to 75 I felt alittle worse again but I knew it would get worse than better its been almost 6week and I'm feeling alittle better . it takes about 2months for each dose to work its fullest. so I would say keep taking your meds and have a lot of support with family friends church and see a therapist to help you get through the moments. your not alone. I'm here if you need to talk. I'm going through it with you !! better days are ahead!!

Hi all, two days ago I increased my dose to100mg from being on 50mg for two months. I am bracing myself for some side effects! I am hoping they will not be so bad. My initial side effects two months ago from starting on 50mg were mainly in week 2 and 3 when I would get anxious shivers and have no appetite at all, then it settled quite fast, compared to when I tried Fluoxetine a year ago where the side effects lasted almost 3 months. Good luck everyone, I hope we will all get better soon!!!
