First Day off Fluoxetine

Posted , 2 users are following.

I was seaking to my GP yesterday and he had recommended me to stop taking Prozac from today, so this is my first day off them.

My head a bit dizzy as I got into work and I'm still spaced out a bit.

He did mention another AD he could put me on called Luvox (sp?).

Anyone have a similar experience?

Now I feel really dizzy and my orientation is completely off - I am thinking about taking a Fluox just to calm down as I haven't felt like this before (withdrawals more than likely).

I also feel run down, fed up, and just not bothered doing anything (even though I'm in work).

This might seem a bit cheeky or just stupid (so please be easy on me) I also have a Valium and a Xanax to hand for very stressful moments, don't worry I'm going to speak to my GP about it and see if I take the on occasion.

    Hi ghostfreak

So have you swapped anti-depressents then? Or have you stopped taking them altogether

Im just feeling hopeless at the moment, im still taking 20mg a day, but wonder whether I should return to 40mg - I just feel so crap x

    Hope you're OK though ghostfreak

    Thanks for that suzisue.

I'm off the Fluoxetine and have to leave it a week without until I start on the Zoloft (just going to say the same as it's shorter but I have generic ones). So roll on Monday lol.

I feel like I'm in a daze all the time though, it's very weird. I have a very good friend who gave me a Valium one night this week and it just totally took the anxiety and stress away (although don't worry about me on them).

Plus I have a very understanding girlfriend as well :D

So Zoloft from Monday - oh the joy.

BTW I enquired to a friend about taking valium once to calm down ad it def worked - doc won't prescribe then as they are addictive but I have a few here already.

God I hate this, I took a Val relax and help my anxiety about tomorrow (well just normal day at work anyway. My anxiety was about work tomorrow, customers, and the road work noise RIGHT OUTSIDE the business.

Meeting my girlfriend after work to go for a cup of tea at Cafe Maud's (anyone know where I mean?).

I manage my work (family run business) so I can do as I please (well in a professional work related manner) so I am just going to put the alarm on and the shutter down and meet Claire (gf), then go back and life my laptop case and actually lock the business up.

Does that sound a good idea? The val is starting to hit me now and I'd like some opinions or anything from the good people here smile
