First OB and need help!

I just found out that I have herpes. The worst pain I have ever been in. I’ve read a lot the last few days and I’m not really seeing anything about others having an issue with pooing. I’m pretty sure I have an anal fissure as well, but not 100% sure on that. I have blisters mostly around my butt. It doesn’t hurt to pee, but it kills me to poo. To make things better, I just started my period! Can I use tampons? Should I not use tampons? What do I do?

    When I was in my period during an outbreak I did use tampons sometimes to keep the sores dry. If it doesn’t hurt to use them u should be fine. The anal sores I have no solution for, I had them too. Try to get a stool softener for now until the sores are gone

      Oh my goodness! Thank you so much! This has been then worst pain I have ever been in. Today is the worst. I thought I’d got better, but it has only gotten worse. I have had these symptoms for about 2 weeks now. Is that normal?

      Honestly every outbreak is different. Are you on medication for the outbreak??

      No. Not yet. I don’t have insurance and I can’t afford to get the medication right now. I know I know...really bad luck!

      I completely understand! I have insurance but it’s horrible ! It doesn’t  cover anything ! Including medications. It’s horrible. But I got the medication for an outbreak and it only cost me just under $30 for the 10 day supply. Is there a family planning or anything like that near you that you can go to??

      Family planning is like a clinic for testing and such. Are u in the US? If so they should have them

      Yeah I am. Is it like a free clinic? Do they help with prescriptions as well?

      It’s a free clinic for most people (depends how much money you make) but yes they can give you a prescription for the medication you need

      😂😂😂 No problem ! Another thing (just Incase you need it) I joined an online support group that REALLY helped me! If u want to join go to lifewithherpes .com and join, the maker of the site will send u an email and then u download an app called “slack” it’s been amazing having other people who are going through the same thing as us that u can ask questions to or just vent or talk. I’m in there as AshleyLynn 😊 good luck with everything and hope ur outbreak gets better soon!!
