First time getting Genital Herpes

So I’ve recently been diagnosed with genital herpes. This is my first time and it’s awful I can’t walk, sit move at all without crying and being in severe pain. Specially when I pee I’m in agony screaming into a towel. Help? Also I am very depressed I have depression anyway but this has made me see no future all I can think is I can’t live like this I’m 19 and I can’t kive like this I can’t go through this again it’s so painful, I’ve read that it can take up to 10 to 29 days to go away and it doesn’t go away fully it can come back so easy I just need someone to tell me how to prevent it from coming back how to deal with this and also how to stop this agonising pain I need it to stop I can’t take another day of this 😭😭😭

Hang in there. They say the first outbreak is usually the worst. But I’m surprised that after you were diagnosed you weren’t given a prescription to help with the symptoms?

I got a prescription Aciclovir 5 tablets for five days and I also got instillagel to help numb the pain but honestly I am having no affect it doesn’t helpsad I’m putting off going to the toilet because it literally feels like I’m peeing out glass.

I constantly feel like I can’t do this the pain is unbearable, I have to bite into a towel just to stop myself screaming from pain every time I go to the toilet I’m in tears sad

I’m 18 and was recently diagnosed as well, it wasn’t painful for me until about 4 days after i started noticing the first sore. I loaded up on ibuprofen and I heard if you pee while sitting in water it alleviates the pain. Make sure to keep up with your medicine so it can go away and (hopefully) stay away for a while

The first time is always the worst, it will get better hang on,  they will start drying in , you need to keep some on hand for next out break and you never know, then take with in 24 hours of first sign and it will heal faster, also you can speak to your Doctor about taking one a day for suppression . helps not to spread to anyone else. no way to prevent it from coming back its a virus and will stay door mat in your system till something wakes it up again, like stress, infection, just example's....you will learn how to cope with it. lot of people have this...hope this was of some help.
