Having a bit of a rough time to be honest. Approaching the 3 month mark on fluoxetine. Feeling very disconnected and emotionally numb. Not sure if it's the meds or the therapy or something else altogether.

hey magia, sorry to hear that things are not going to plan for you, maybe they need to put the dose up to 40mg after this time period? or perhaps a different medication altogether as I guess Fluoxetine does'nt work for everyone. not sure about the therapy myself, Ive had 1 session of CBT- cognative behaviour therapy- and to be perfectly honest it went in one ear and out the other! still got more sessions to follow which I will attend out of curiosity if nowt else. do hope things pick up real soon for you magia and you start to feel like your old self again, god bless smile

    Hi David

Glad to hear things are going ok and you're not feeling too bad.  I've read aching muscles can be part of the side effects, but I've not had them myself, though I do often ache from too much exercise :-)  Apparently people with depression etc can also feel pain more as they're more sensitive.

Do you sit a lot?  Sometimes too much resting can cause aching limbs too.

Im doing fine - seem to have no more anxiety ect - yup, feeling good :-)

    Hi david

Seems like youre doing well, apart from the aches which I've heard of other people suffering but not had myself (had enough of other things without that!:-) )  . Your post is so much more positive than previously which is great, you sound so much better. Lovely to hear.

Im battling on (aw get the violins out :-) ) I just struggle with  constant nausea which knocks me down but doing better than I was, the odd day that eases im pretty good! . Think im on day 29 so possibly need to be patient for few more weeks tho it'd be nice to catch up to where you are.

Hopefully onwards and upwards for us all!

    Take care of yourself

      hiya Vix,

thankyou for your kind words, yeah I'm certainly a bit more upbeat about life that's a fact, and a great feeling inside when its like this, I do expect bads days so I'm not getting too complacent just yet, a long way to go yet. I really do not envy you with the nausea Vix, I have been quite lucky with that thank god, it must be awful for you (can't play the violin haha) hope that passes soon bonny lass and becomes but a distant memory,

      take care of yourself,

      David

It was ongoing nausea that sent me onto ad's as doc just thought was anxiety/depression as I was getting very down (maybe so,  hard to tell which caused which?). Frustrating thing is thats the one flamin thing that hasnt really got much better.....aaaggghhh! :-) ho hum

On the bright side im nearly 2 stone less bonny than I was before (I needed to lose a good few lbs!) Tho I wouldnt recommend this as a diet to anyone! Haha :-)

Enjoy your smiley days, I have a plaque at home saying"a day without a smile is a day lost" -I kinda like that.

      Ttfn
