fluoxetine nearly 8wks (7w4d) update

Thought I'd up my fluoxetine journey at nearly 8wks taken for anxiety and antenatal depression which just come on from no where (had pnd 5yrs ago) 

I saw improvements after 9days

Side effects where not too good from 2-6weeks. 

At 7 weeks I was getting better but I still have:

A dream/dazed feeling which I find the worse part! I had this before meds too at a higher level.

Can't sleep at all. 

Night sweats.

Headaches but less often.

Dry mouth. 

Mood is better I can handle the illness with out crying and giving in but its still not nice been dazed all day but unable to sleep. my baby is been born by section this Tuesday ( 3days away) so hoping I'll feel better after this.

    wow baby is'nt far away now! do'nt call her David will you because she will grow up with a complex haha wink This side effect thing is really soul destroying at times is'nt it? I had two pretty good days then today my head is in that dreamy dazed place again for whatever reason, this morning I found myself stood in a room totally confused as to why I was there, I stood a couple of minutes before snapping back to reality. My headaches are less often thank god as I had them relentlessly day in day out at one stage. I have'nt got your sleep problem, quite the opposite, I could sleep just about anytime! Do hope that things turn out well after babies born Rachel and you feel better, best wishes (((hug))) David x

      Ow I get the confused where am I what was I doing. I think my brain is giving off energy but my body is worn out. I could feel like this due to pregnancy I suppose. Its this dazed feeling that needs to bugger off. Sounds like ur really improving now though David!

    Your time scale and symptoms are almost identical to my daughters. She started to improve from day 9, and not sleeping and sweats have been the worst thing along with the shakes.  Only thing she hasn't had is the fuzzy head. 

    Oooooo won't be long now before baby arrives for a cuddle, I hope they explained the spinal/epidural ,  if your having it,  can make your teeth chatter, that's normal, and it isn't the flu tablets doing it.

    Your sleep pattern should get better, it could just be because of the pregnancy.  Same for the dream/dazed effect ....... all the side effects wore off for me.  Sleep like a log now.

    Come to think of it I do get night sweats ....... strangely wakes me up the same time about 4am every morning for about 5 mins.  Thought it was my age ...... yay oh yay maybe it's not then!

    Can't wait to hear about the new baby :-)

    Hope youve managed to get some sleep and that your good mood has continued?

    You must be getting excited for tomorrow now, just wanted to wish you all the best for your new arrival! With a bit of luck some of the symptoms/side effects will get better after the birth too, ill keep my fingers crossed for you.

      I'm doing OK just feel dazed still but it improves later on in the day and might just be lack of sleep (6 wees a night lol) 

      I'm very excited yet nerves and feels serial. All packed and ready for 7am tomorrow.

      No way!  Ava is my favourite name at the moment.  I said only the other week if I had more children now they'd be Ava and Theo.  Too old now though :-(

      So my vote is Ava :-)

      Looks like ava wins as most are saying ava first. So be ava louise. Just thought April was a pretty flowery name x

      Tuesday at 10.16am delivered a beautiful baby girl by section 8pounds11. Baby well mummy sore but very happy smile xx
