    Hey Lucy,

why did you start at 40mg? Most of the time, you start at 20mg for 2 weeks, and then move up? I suggest you start at 20mg and work your way  upto 40mg? Assuming  you have no other drugs in system?

I agree 40mg is a lot to take on your start up, the side effects on 20mg are not nice, pretty much as you describe but probably not nearly as bad on 20mg.

I would ask your doctor about reducing dose and building up to 40mgs

Most importantly keep talking on here everyone is so helpful and supportive and don-t give up stick with it

Lucyfayx - I have been on it a week and feel only a short temper / irratabilty as a side effect  Of course I think I was feeling that on Prozac also. So far so good on this med for "mood stabilization" and I started on 20 mg FYI

Yep and it gets worse before it gets better. I was bedridden for 2 weeks these tablets take atleast 6 weeks to start to show signs of feeling better. Stick to it tho it's worth it x

Holy cow... get off that 40mg pronto. I started on 10mg for 10 days then increased to 20mg for 6 weeks....   then 30mg for another 10 days and now 40mg. If your doctor told you to start this way then you need to find someone new. You will feel awful.
