fluoxetine struggle

hey the sun is shining but man it is cold! the people that experience the lightheadedness, spaced out feelings, are you the same as me, meaning that roughly the first hour out of bed is ok, then whoosh my head is spinning, even sat down not moving! this is one side effect that initially I joked about, the "feeling stoned" thing I enjoyed, almost. But now, weeks later, it is'nt a joke. I can live with it as it does'nt cause actual pain but I would rather not have it at all,  anybody else at nearly 8 weeks and going through this? thankyou smile

mmm you have a good point there Rachel, and when I think about it you are right because when I'm distracted I'm unaware of the spaced out thing, and I'm the worlds worst sometimes for anxiety, I get anxious without realising it. hope you have a nice day smile x

    Hi david

Not had total light headed ness but frequently feel like im not really there (tho some would argue ive never been quite all there! :-) )

What does dr say about it?  Is it still down to side effects or could it be down to anxiety like Rachel says? Being fairly new to this Im still figuring out what are symptoms and what are side effects. I get a wierd tingling across my back that gives me shivers n makes me jittery like when youve had a chill, ive no idea if that's anxiety or side effects as im not aware of feeling anxious when I get it, so if anyone knows please enlighten me!

Hope you find something to help you ease the feeling.  Extra hugs for you today :-)

      hiya vix,

must admit the doctor did'nt comment on the lightheaded issue so I'm just taking it as a neccesary evil just now, hopefully it wont be with me forevermore! had to smile at your remark about people would argue that you are not all there, ditto in my case too haha. can't say as I've had the weird tingling across the back though so can't help you there I'm afraid. bless you for the extra hugs, much appreciated smile

right at the begining of the treatment I did have a few night sweats but as my body became accustomed to the drug they wore of, thankfully. sounds almost like you're having a nightmare Rachel

I'm 6 weeks tomorrow. I think they are getting less but I get them if I nap in the day too. Does your daughter feel spacey. I'm glad she's improving smile

Yep still wake almost every morning around 5 with serious sweats.  Did make me anxious at first but I just kinda accept it now and try to keep calm, chuck the covers off n get back to sleep if I can. If im lucky I get another hour or two! :-)
