this may seem very strange but anyone else experiencing food cravings. You would think I was pregnant. The foods I loved before my op I have not given a 2nd thought. And other foods which I could take or leave I am craving.  Hormones do you think?

    Hi Poppy,

Sorry early days for me but a work colleague said that she used to hate pizzas but now she loves them.1thing I did notice last night was I thought I would have some of my Easter egg and that didn't taste normal.

      Hi Lyn

      thats strange isn't it

I had my op 10 days ago. I had no,appetite for the first week and ate only yoghurt and fruit. But in the last couple of days things back to normal apart from my food cravings

When in hospital my mother in law brought me a bar of chocolate and I'm a chocoholic and even that didn't taste right I was only in for two nights and three days

I had my op on Tues.Hospital food tasted very bland but everything that I had taken in tasted normal. On Weds morning my throat was a bit sore and my voice a little hoarse and a colleague told me that the oxygen dries your throat out and leaves a white coating on your tongue.I must Amit my fish and chips tasted lovely to night and I am looking forward to tomorrows roast dinner especially as I won't be cooking it.

Teresa I had a sore throat too

I think they also put a tube down while in surgery.

my oxygen mask was on for the first night and I moved it over my eyes.  When I tried to open tem they had all dried out ha ha.

Glad you enjoyed your fish and chips

    Hi Lee

I'm day 10 and I still have no appetite 😢 still only on cereal fruit and soup. My partner has tempted me with my favourite foods but just can't face them... Not even chocolate which is not like me...

Had a real down day today feel like I'm gonna be sore forever😓

      Hi Diane

i know what you mean. My scar is sore with a bit of bleeding at the side. I am also very constipated and can't get comfy. I have heard that there are lots of up and down days so just think the next day could be better. It has not been an easy process.

      keep in touch
