    Hi MSME

I suggest you see your doctor asap.  It may be something to do with an infection in your ear or a mastoid problem, especially as your ear feels hot.  I have had this to a lesser degree (on one side only) and it turned out to be an infection which cleared up with antibiotics.  As far as your eyes are concerned, this sounds like it could be conjuntivitus for which your doctor can prescribe eye drops.  This is a common problem for people with or without CFS/ME.

Please get both conditions checked with your doctor.

    Good luck.

Hi Kath, Thank you for reply, I had an xray about a month ago which showed an infection as I'd had flu, Dr said she wanted me to have another at end of Feb, which I have had done.  In between this I went back to Dr, who couldn't be bothered with me it seemed as he said "Not everything can be explained by medical science" so off I went home still in pain and still worried, (sure they think i'm a hypracondriact)  I had to phone NHS Direct, as I was so worried and in pain, they told me to get to the urgent care unit within 6 hours, which I did and got scrip for ibroprofen and paracetamol 500ml, This was on the Thurs, managed to get Dr appoint on the Mon with Dr can't be bothered!  I didn't have to explain again as Nurse at urgent care sent everything over, and Dr Can't be bothered gave me Amytriptline 10ml to start, said take that for one week then go onto 20 ml following week, as nurse thought I was going through an ME flair.  So I go back to the Dr that sent me for xray next week for results to that, I did forget to say in my initial post (brain fog) that this pain goes down my left arm, and has then started in the right arm also. Now,  I don't mind if this a new flair symptom I have never had before but I would like to find out for sure.  Bloody Dr's always put things down to the ME, really  gets on my nerves as it could be something more seroious.  Grrr.  Gent Hugs. x

Hi there I'm so sorry you seem to be getting the run around from your dr !!! Try & see a different one ( younger the better as hey seem to have training in chronic pain unlike THIER older counter parts !!!). I'm sorry to tell you I had the same & it takes years to get real answeres !! I cried so many times out of sheer desperation  leaving the surgery feeling  like hell & getting nowhere !!!! But at last   It's paid off I have a great dr who tries her hardest to help ( even though we both know she can't cure me she still tries to help !!!)

keep asking questions & explaining you've a right to be helped & cared for just the same as anyone with any other illness & tell dr to stop blaming cfs  for everything without proper investigations good luck & take care dawn xxx
