I'm a 26YO Female. About two weeks ago I started having a dull squeezing pain in the upper-middle of my stomach. It's right under my ribs but above my belly button. It radiates through my back into my right shoulder. I've also had diarrhea multiple times and a lot of nausea. It honestly felt like a stomach bug or food poisoning at first. But it continued for more than 24 hours so I went to the doctor. This is pretty constant but sometimes I do feel okay. I cannot pinpoint this to eating or not eating, or eating a certain food. They gave me zofran, did blood work , ultrasound and x-ray. X-ray was fine. The radiologist said my liver was fatty, but they couldn't see my gallbladder because it was contracted. I had eaten a few hours before and they say you have to be fasting to see it. The blood work came back with high Nuetrophils, Immature Granulocytes, Monocytes, Choloride, and low hemoglobin, hematocrit, Lymphocytes, MCH, and MCHC. Yet the nurse practitioner said everything was fine and sent me on my way. Well a week later, i'm still struggling. I go to a different nurse practitioner and she does the same blood work again. Well, same results but the low's are lower, and the highs are higher. Again, this NP had someone call and say everything was fine. She said I had GERD and gave me Protonix. I've been taking it everyday for 5 days now. I've cut out citrus, spicy, anything acidic just in case. But the pain, nausea and diarrhea (which is not normal for me ever) are still here. Sometimes its so bad I cry. It hurts to breathe sometimes too. I should also note when the doc was pressing in on my stomach, the upper right side under my ribs was very tender.. But she was not concerned and completely dismissed the idea of a gallbladder problem.
My history includes two kids, super irregular cycles, and a pulmonary embolism but i'm not currently on blood thinners.
Should I push for a HIDA scan? How long does Protonix really take to work? Help?

I'm sorry. I'm getting a HIDA scan in a week. Hopefully that shows what the problem is so we can fix it. I'll update and let you know. Maybe if it is, you can get one scheduled.
