Gallbladder Hyperkinesia

I just had a HIDA scan yesterday I've just been diagnosed with having a Hyperkinetic Gallbladder or overactive, I believe. My doctor said there is increased contractility, or stronger than usual. (not sure if I'm spelling this correctly)
I have constant pain in the RUQ; right upper quadrant, (under my rib cage and back flank pain). This has been going on for about 6 months.
Prior to the HIDA scan, I also had some routine bloodwork done which showed my white blood cell count was low or at 4.2. I have high cholesterol 275, but by HDL is 100 which offsets ?
Prior to the HIDA I also had an ultrasound which showed normal, except they did find a 6mm polyp on my gallbladder.
I'm seeing a Gastroenterologist Jan. 23, 2020.
Does anyone have any experience with this? I'm 55 female, and weigh 150;

I had my GB out by open surgery in May. Never had hida scan. But still have pain and can't eat much now. Had large gallstones and the gallbladder had pushed my liver out of its usual place so was bigger op than expected.
where are you having your op? I had a hepato biliary surgeon do mine and not a gastroenterologist.

That is exactly what I had. I also had multiple 6mm (being the largest) polyp. Nausea for close to a year with dull occasional pain. Had it out six months ago doing much better, but still a few digestive issues, but better every day. A lot of prayers, faith and healthier living. You'll do fine. God Bless

Hi Deb2860,
I was diagnosed with a 6mm polyp on gallbladder after having an ultrasound scan in April this year. I have been told that I need to have yearly scans to keep a check on it. I do get back ache and right sided pains/aches regularly and suffer with terrible heartburn. The consultant I have is a general surgeon and endocrine specialist and I don't really rate him and would rather see a gastroenterologist, as I have been told that mostly people are monitored every 6 months as they can grow and turn cancerous?!
Never had a HIDA scan either? Even though I also have a small cyst on liver and hemangioma on liver also.
Hope all goes well for you and you get sorted out in the New Year, Best wishes.
