Can pain from the gallbladder be not related to eating?
I have mid right abdominal pain and also pain under my right shoulder blade, though it is not related to eating. I was wondering if it was from my gallbladder. I have had lots of tests, though not a HIDA, so was thinking something like biliary dyskinesia, but from my reading, this type of pain is normally related to eating

HI! SORRY you are going through this pain ! I had my gallbladder removed a year and a half ago . The pain wasn't always related to when I ate . Do you have a fever? When I went in to ER I was actually concerned it was a heart attack! Heart issues are common in my family, unfortunately, and I was having pain between my shoulder blades and heart burn/reflux type issues . hopefully this helps some? Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!!

Thank you for your reply. I don't have a fever. This has been going on for over a year now. As I said before, I've had lots of tests. For a long time, I was convinced it was pancreas related, but I've had so many tests on that, including a EUS, so surely it must be something else, possibly gallbladder or maybe liver

most of the time it was just an ache under my right ribs and my right shoulder blade. and then sometimes the pain would be more intense and i would run a low grade temp. and get nauseated. This went on for two years or so. After the surgery, the doctor said it was swollen and inflamed. Before the surgery, I had one ultrasound that showed sludge. The next one was normal. I never had a hidascan.
