Gallbladder removal

Hi!

I've just had my gallbladder removed today (I know I'm being hasty writing on here already!) I know that I am still full of gas which is fine-just wanting to know if anyone had a 'stitch' like pain a little bit lower down on the right hand side below the op site? It kind of feels like when you do a sit up and pull a muscle! Is this normal?

Any responses greatly appreciated!

Thankyou!

I had that "stitch" for a good 6 weeks. I thought it was a permanent thing unti 1 day I noticed it was gone.

Very normal. I had that for almost 2 weeks! Take gasx to relive the gas pain, and drink milk of magnesia! I promise you'll feel better soon. Definitely watch what you eat!

    Hi Anna

Yes that is normal it's the tissue on the inside that you can feel. Although it doesn't look much on the outside a lot has gone on inside and all needs to recover now.

    Just take it easy .

    Rest up . X

    Hi everyone!

Thankyou so much for taking the time to reply and most of all for the reassurance that it is normal-it is most appreciated!

Glad to hear you are all healed up-in the meantime I'll be on the sofa!

    Thanks again,

    Anna x
