I had surgery to remove gallbladder 2 weeks ago. I am experiencing skin sensitivity above belly button area. Don’t like clothes touching it! Also, I have a stitch like sensation where the gallbladder was. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi Fit Bee, it might not be a bad idea if you googled "incisional hernia" to see if this matches your complaint.

Yes!! This is all normal, where they cut the gallbladder away and clip it is painful for a while, likewise the incision by belly button, mine was very sore and pinchy. Do go and see your dr though if you are worried.
Best wishes

The wounds at my bellybutton and the one at the top of my stomach were both super sensitive. The bellybutton one got infected though after I tore the stitches open by stretching to open a window 🤦🏼???. If the wounds get red, hot or if you have a fever then go get checked out as you may have an infection. Maybe cover the wounds up with a plaster so clothes aren’t rubbing on them? That’s what I did. It takes a good few months until you start to feel more normal though. Need to remember you’ve had an organ removed and major surgery. Takes a while for things to heal inside xx
