hi guys,
i had my gallbladder removed on weds, and feel better than i have for a long time, had no trouble with any if the food that ive tried so far, had a tuna sandwich in hospital after the op and cup of tea, which was nice had to stay overnight as i became dehydrated and kept dosing off, so was put on a drip, tummy is a bit sore but this is because of the gas, but that awfull tiredness has gone, and obviously no gallstone pain. so doing well so far.

Glad to know you're doing well, Amanda! Remember you've had major surgery, so give yourself time to recuperate and heal! xx

I'm really pleased it's gone well for you Amanda. Someone was complaining the other day about this site being full of negativity. Nice to hear you're feeling so well.
Remember to take it easy for a while nevertheless. No lifting or exertion and remember to get plenty rest and fluids.
I'm three months post op following open cholecystectomy in February and liver resection in March and I'm also feeling good. Surgery may have saved my life as they found a growth in my gallbladder, hence the liver resection. I'm still very tired, falling asleep at all hours and the incision is a bit tender but I can cope with that- better than pain I had.
Good luck
