I am 16 hours away from Gallbladder surgery. I have severe pain and was hospitalized all last week. I am scared to death about the surgery. They found a left bundle branch blockage and 35% ejection fraction in my heart when diagnosing my gallstone. I am 35 years old. I keep reading so many risks with heart issues and surgery of any kind. The doctors don't ease those concerns either. I am freaking out. I have 5 kiddos and am so afraid I wont wake up after being put under. These heart issues are new to me, anyone else have similar circumstances or similar story? Please, I am scared to death right now.

Everything is going to be fine! This surgery is very simple and you will not be under for too long ( mine took just 45 minutes) talk with your anesthesiologist about your concerns and they will know the best way to take care of you( just imagine how many people that have heart issues and go through surgery every day, you are very young and you will be fine! It’s completely normal to feel scare about surgery, going luck to you! and let us know how everything went afterwards! 🙏??

Hi Scott. Every time I go into hospital I thinks as you do, it's natural to be scared. Awaiting gb removal myself and there is no doubt I will feel the same (hopefully very soon). You are more worried about the 5 kiddos than yourself should it be known, and again i'm the same. I have 2 daughters and 1 grandchild. You will be in good hands during surgery and hoping that you have a full recovery. The power of prayer is real. Keep in touch on the forum after your surgery.

Currently in recovery. Surgery was roughly 10 hours ago. Admitted for another day. Complications arose but only due to it being inflamed and hard to get out. The anesthesiologist found out I was scared and gave me what equates to valium while going down the hallway and then put me under without any warning once I was in the room. They didn't want me to know. Woke up what felt like 2 seconds later in recovery. Eating jello and broth for now. Thank you all for the kind words and support. Good luck to those waiting for the procedure.
