Gallstones?

Hi I’m currently waiting on a scan as I’ve been suffering on and off now for years with these episodes of extreme pain after eating solid food, they come and go but are really quite painful, They start about an hour after eating and last hours the pain is like having a constant contraction it eases slightly and intenses in waves  but is a constant pain in my upper abdomen, today I feel sick with it, I have a 2 year old to look after and I’m really struggling with my energy as I’m only eating soups and drinking as liquids seem to be ok, has anyone had these symptoms and did it turn out to be stones?! I just don’t know what to do with myself now I’m waiting on the scan?

it looks like you might have gallstones. Ultrasound will show if you have any. Some time it gets missed if its too small. for me intially they said my gallbladder is not working using hidascan, but no stones. But now i got gallstones.

Hi amie, I went to the emergency department on Jan 31 2018 for the exact same symptoms, only mine was making it hard for me to breath .each time the pain in my right abdomen under my ribs would lighten up but when I take a breath or move forward it would intesefily greatly,. It was kinda debilitating i could barley walk. had a EKG because they thought I was having a heart attack it came back normal , did a CT scan , x-ray, all normal no gallstones, but the pain does start after solid food. well, I will see a specialist on Wednesday I'll keep everyone inform as to what the specialist think.
