I was just diagnosed with genital herpes and hpv high risk in 2 days. I feel so depressed and lost!!! They told me I have to wait to do colposcopy after my herpes symptoms are gone...Taking Acyclovir now...Please help!!! Anybody else with both diagnoses? 😦(())

i have been diagnosed with both genital herpes and recently low risk hpv.
i promise you it will get easier. it is not the end of the world, although it may seem like it now.
if you decide to take the acylovir daily then itll keep from having another outbreak. i had my first outbreak in may and i havent had another one since.
you can still live a totally normal life.
you just have to inform your partners that you have HSV.
people take it lighter than you think, most people are ok with it, just take precautions so you dont spread it to another person, using condoms and taking meds daily can reduce your transmission rate to being only 2%.
take deep breaths and remember, you are not alone. a lot of people have herpes. whether its the mouth kind or the genital kind, its still herpes and youll have it for the rest of your life. dont let it drag you down. i took it as i could have gotten something even worse, like HIV, or AIDS.
