Genital herpes problems

Posted , 3 users are following.

So my bf of 7 years cheated and got diagnosed with genital herpes. Its been 3 years since he told me. I just took the test again and it came negative. But I've seen how this virus works its very dormant even tho its there so i can still be an infected person. I just want to ask is it bad of me to want to leave? I love him very much but every time he has an outbreak i cant help but think of why he got it.... Can anyone relate??

I guess you would have to test every 3 months to see if antibodies have built up. honestly I wouldn't blame you if you left. I'm on the other side I really messed up. how are your boyfriends OB frequent? antivirals and condoms help reduce transmission greatly.

We have been using condoms but lately every time he "clears away" he hasnt been very careful and its just on my mind alot... He has them every 6 to 7 months and its not bad it just irritated him his work makes him sweat sometimes and that causes the outbreak. And the dr told me that GH isnt blood detected just of the systoms n signs is when u knw and i havent had any signs but u never know i guess

I cant say how but i haven't had any signs of itchy. burning. pain . irritation. nor any pimple looking things. .i am assuming cause dr n a lot of ppl on these post say it can or has been dormant for years but i just feel like u get it right away u know from who and how long its been since u had sex thats it i guess

you can be asymptomatic which means you never have outbreaks or very minimal. but you can take type specific igg blood test. the test window is 3 months from the encounter. even if your body suppressed the virus you can detect it on the blood test.
