I have had lots of phlegm in my throat also feels like somethings in there plus a horror taste in my mouth only feels on my left side!! I had two ENTs tell me it’s gerd!! I take Prilosec everything is still there!! My thyroid test came back ok!! Just wondering if there could be something in my esophagus and they need to look down there into my stomach possibly? Has anyone else had these symptoms! Any info would be great!! Thanks!

Can the ent figure that out by using the scope that goes up your nose and looks down your throat or do they have to go in my mouth down my throat to look at my esophagus!! For what you have how did they treat it? Sorry I don’t know a whole lot about medical things!! Like what test are called and so forth!! And yes I still have my tonsils!! I’m just not sure if all this is from gerd!! The horrible taste in mouth is disgusting!!! Thanks for the info!

I had scope down my nose. According to nurse she said they could see dwn throat, not sure about esophagus tho. Well he told me Tha cud take thm out if it bothered me bad. I said no that was ok. Not that a at bad. Today an yesterday my whole left side has been like raw feeling..I think I will gargle with warm salt water. Mine seems to do it the day after I eat spicy. Yesterday had bbq ribs and then 2day wala..pain on left side..mine also is all on left side. My ears feel pressure and I also get aches behind my eye..mostly left..Iv read soooo much about all this and many have gotton soooo many tests all to no avail..so I'm Goin 2 blame my raw feeling on my silent reflux..I take organic apple cider vinegar in mornings which helps me but whn I 4get one day (today) I also get this. Just can't figure it out tho...but dnt believe it's serious, just a nuisance. .

Is what you take over the counter or prescription? I don’t drink alcohol! I just feel there’s more to this than gerd! Thanks for info!

I had a gastroscopy 1 month ago, I had biopsies taken at the same time the results were hiatus hernia and biopsies showed inflammation of the oesophagus, I had been having symptoms for months, after a chest infection, though thinking back id had a cough for a couple of years which I hadn't really thought about it being anything to worry about. I had awful systems for the last 3 months feeling a lump in my throat lots of mucus every time I swallowed, I had chest pain, shortness of breath if I laughed and when talking, stabbing sensation in my throat down one side, fatigue a cough coughing up lots of phlegm also difficulty speaking I was prescribed all these medications, they have made a significant difference, I cut out spicy food anything fried actually I am eating mainly steamed food and small amounts all very bland and I'm feeling much better but the symptoms have not disappeared, I have been called back to hospital this Wednesday a letter arrived out of the blue and I'm hoping it's just a follow-up appointment after gastroscopy but I am worried as I wasn't expecting to be called back

I don’t have the pain like you described. Once in awhile my throat will hurt! When I eat it feels like it’s harder to swallow on the left side if that makes any sense! Also my left ear bothers me! Basically all on left side!! As far as getting your letter you just need to think positive!! If they took biopsies and haven’t given you the results that might be what is about!! Some hospitals/dr. don’t like to give results over the phone good or bad!!! I wish you all the luck in the world!!!
