Going from 20mg to 40mg tomorrrow-side effects advice please

Hi everyone

I have been on 20mg of citalopram for 2 months & have not felt much better. My GP increased them to 40mg from tomorrow

I had quite bad side effects when I first went on them & wondered if I would get them again with the increased dose.

I would appreciate any info from someone who has increased their dose.

    Hi lolo. When I went from 20 to 40mg I didn't notice any increase in side effects. best wishes.

    Hiya :O),

    When i doubled up to 40Mg i felt spaced out and detached for about a week , don't panic its quite a nice feeling actually :O)

    I have felt a bit spaced out but don't like it. Hoping it will settle down soon. Also don't feel hungry at all.

    It will settle down try to eat because it will help reduce the impact of the tabs . Dont worry, you will be fine. Paulie :D
