Got tested for hsv 1 and 2 6 months ago about to get tested again

I got tested 6 months ago and was negative. I got tested due to a reoccurring pimple that would show up on my penis shaft every couple months.

I got the pimple looking thing swabbed and it came back positive for staph Orrous. I dident think much of it because it was only a pimple or 2 and would go away in a week.

So yesterday I looked at my penis in the shower and saw a couple little clusters of pimple looking things. And now I'm freaking out. I am going to the lab tomorrow for another hsv 1 and 2 blood test. This time it's really starting to look like the pics online.

I'm 32. Married. 2 kids. Last time i has sex with my wife was about a week ago.

Is there anyway it could be negative and then come back 6 months later? The lab said I'll get results in 3 days. I'll update with results.

If I am positive I don't know how I could ever tell my wife. I guess I would just stop having sex with her. I haven't been diagnosed yet but it looks like the pics online so I'm preparing for the worst.

Sorry for the long post. This is starting to consume me. Any advice would be helpful.

    The virus can lay dormant and show up at anytime. Stress can bring it about, etc. You're married for sometime, have you had any relations outside your marriage or has she that would make you think this is herpes? You would have to face this head on is my advice IF you're even positive. Find that out first. Go from there. You're not just going to cease sex and your wife not raise an eyebrow sweetie. You're right, prepare for the "worst" hope for the best. But understand that herpes is far from the end of the world. Its a common issue in today's society that grows everyday. I've been dealing with this 10 years. Very betrayed by the source of mine. But here I am...living smile Have you had the area swabbed? Keep me posted wink

    If you have not had any possible hsv exposure since your last negative blood test (hopefully by IgG, not IgM or other), including 3 months before the test, then it's not hsv. Staph can produce sores that look very much like herpes lesions (but not blisters), so it is probably related to your staph infection.

      I pray to god your right. So I noticed the pimple things on Saturday night. They were there all day Sunday. Then on Monday morning they were all gone and looks just like it's healing.

      When you have an outbreak is it possible to have the pimple things for only 1 day?

      I got tested yesterday morning and I'm still awaiting the results.

      No, they usually take a few days to a week or so to fully go and heal.
