Gravol anyone?

Hello all,

Due to gastric issues I've found myself taking Gravol tablets for nausea. I have acid reflux and in the past I went through the horror of a perforated ulcer. During my hospital stay after the ulcer surgery they were giving me a PPI and Gravol in IV form. Now when I take the Gravol pills I find they're making me dizzy all day.

So I wondered if anyone else has experienced this? The part I don't understand is that Gravol is supposed to prevent dizziness so why am I having it as a side effect? Unless it's just a coincidence and the dizziness is an unrelated issue to the Gravol.

    Hi Carol

Gravol is called Dramamine in the USA and the generic term is

Dimenhydrinate which is an over-the-counter antiemetic used for the treatment of the symptoms of motion sickness.

    Hope this helps

    kind regards
