Keep rinsing gently with warm salt water, stick to soft foods. It can take a couple of weeks. If the pain is too intense then visit the dentist again, a thing called dry socket can be a problem. It's when the blood clot shifts too early

Been back the dentist there no infection and it heeling good don't understand y I'm in so much pain still

Depending which tooth was out,theres a lot of trauma in the area when a tooth is extracted. It's not uncommon for things to be painful for a few weeks,but it should never be excruciating. Is the blood clot still visible, can you see areas of white bone? If so that's dry socket which is very painful,but a dentist should be able to spot that

Then your going to have to take paracetamol and wait it out until the surrounding tissue heals I'm afraid
