HAEMORRHOIDS or INDIGESTE FOOD ?

Hello ! I'm French, I'm 29 years old.

For a few weeks now, I've been examining my stool (I'm a hypochondriac)

and I sometimes find little "red tips" Not always. I think I often notice it after eating pasta with tomato or other dish with tomato (tomato pulp...).

I also have haemorrhoids (I'm getting better now).

A doctor on a forum told me that if it was blood, it would show up and it would be all over my stool Besides, it would be liquid. He thinks mostly of bits of food. He also advises me to stop analyzing my stool, that it's useless except to cultivate my hypochondria.

I don't think it's blood, but I'm worried anyway. I don't know what blood on the stool looks like.

I have pictures, but I don't know if I can show it to you... ?

I've never seen more than one piece on a saddle, it's often "one piece". The doctor on the board says that if it was blood, it would be all over the stool and it would be in liquid form.

I've already tried to remove "a piece" and put it in water, but it "flows" and doesn't stain the water red, it stays in shape.

Anyway, let me know what you think and if you want a picture. I've already shown the pictures to one person and she tells me it's not blood, but I'd like to get more opinions.

Thank you and sorry for my English.

    Hi Kevin,

I've had the same, turned out to be undigested tomato, or red bell pepper! The gut struggles to digest some food, sweetcorn is a classic. Blood on the stool can occur from internal hemorrhoids. As the stool passes by this can open the veins or hemorrhoids & the blood is absorbed into the fibrous faeces. But the piece you describe is very likely to be undigested food. Your English is very good by the way. Hope this helps & finds you well & safe.
