Hi ladies, I hope you can help me. I am straggling with my hair. After washing and conditioning my hair is fine but the next day my hair feels like grass and I realy don't like it. I used to be proud of my hair and now I just want to cut it all off. Does anybody know's of something I can use.

I also would like to know what supplement is the best to use for peri symptoms.  My bedside table looks like a health shop and I realy would like to know if there isn't one supplement with enough ingredients for all our wonderfull peri symptoms.

Thank you for your time ladies, if it was'nt for you whisdom I would have been in a mental institure a long time ago.

Love

    Hi Nonnie,

most of the products the wonderful ladies on the blog mentioned already.  I am not sure if Omega 3 fish oil was mentioned.  Since most of our modern diets are laden with excessive omega 6,s our Omega 3' are out of balance and not only is that not good for peri/meno , but sets up the body for major inflammation that can cause cancer and aHost of other diseases.  See pubmed research.

Not only is it great nutritionally for women in peri/menopause but it also has benefits the cardiovascular, cognition, dry eyes and a host of other things that plague women as they get older.  Make sure it is molecularly distilled so the PCB's and mercury are extracted.  You can get them on. Amazon.  If you CVD or high triglycerides in your family you can take 2-3 grams and make sure the fish they they source are small such as anchovy, sardine, krill.  That will give you both the EPA/DHA that you need for your hair amongst other things.  While eating high omega 3 fishis an option 3-4 times a week, the pollution of metals in the flesh makes it a bad choice.  The only company that I know that tests it salmon and other fish(which is wild, not farmed) is vital Choice in Alaska.  You need to take for several months to see improvement.

A cautionary note which I forget to mention in another post.  While  B6 and B12 are very good options, you can overdose on small amounts of B6 which people, including myself have done, especially if you don't weigh a lot since the milligrams are standardized dose for someone is about 150lbs.  It can cause neuropathy, buring and tingling and possible never damage.  I went to my Dx last year with these complaints and I was not taking a lot , but my levels were highly elevated.  Since Multi's have B6 and most people add to that it is something to think about.  You cannot overdose on B-12.  They are both water soluble vitamins, but go easy on b-6 until you get a blood value and see where you are---you can always raise the dose.
