I live in the U.K. but I'm so afraid of this that I'm scared of all dust.

My son is 4 months old and I want to sort my anxieties out before he picks up on them. I'm going for CBT.
After the pregnancy I became anxious about mice, even though we have none in our flat. I read online about diseases and viruses and it's definitely impacted my life.
I'll wipe food packaging, won't put my son on the floor in case the dust is contaminated, there's a vent in our toilet that's dusty and I'm scared to turn it on and I get worried about relatives who go to allotments. The worry can make me cry and I will spend hours thinking about it.
My exsistence is evidence that nothing will happen but I seem to believe my irrational thoughts.

So glad to hear you are going for CBT. It will help enormously. Being anxious about cleanliness is normal for new Mums but your anxiety has got out of control. Stop reading about bacteria and viruses. As long as your son has all his immunisations he will be fine. A normal amount of being exposed to dust and dirt is quite OK for your son as he gets older...its all part of building up a good immune system. Dont fret about it. I hope you may encourage your son to go on allotment adventures when he is older.
Lots of good luck with your new son....I'm sure he and you will turn out fine.
