When I researched it I found, on the Johns Hopkins website that they have done over 1200 of these procedures and tout it for its benefits.Since we can't post links search this article: Vaporization Challenges TURP as Gold Standard for BPH in hopkinsmedicine.

The other matter is accuracy and precision of the trauma. They need ot miss nerves and nearby tissue like seminal vessles and muscles which control erections and sphincters.
This is why I have signed up for the iTind clinical trials in NYC. It is precise and very low trauma to tissue done on an outpatient basis.

I had bipolar TURP on June 1st and I recovered very quickly without incontinence and impotence. Everything in that department is in very best working order and I had fist post TURP sex on post op day 15 which was wary enjoyable and satisfying for both my wife and I.
only side effect of TURP for me is RE for which I really don't care.
After TURP, on my post op visit, I received bad news that I have prostate Ca accoging to pathology report which analyzed prostate tissue removed during TURP. I am scheduled for prostate biopsy for Aug. 11th.

Good luck on the August 11th. I know you can deal with the retro but there are some me that can't They still want to have that ejaculation. But I'm glad you can still have sex. I just read 6 post on here of man on this site that had the Turp done with in the last couple of months and they can't even get a erection. Good luck....Ken
