Has anyone else claimed personal independence payments. How was the process

just wondering if anyone else has applied for pip personal independence payments, and how it all was dealt with. Is it a stressful process and could it increase my depression and anxiety

    Yes I have for my son he's autistic it's a long winded process with a very long form to fill in then waited around 12 months before a medical examination which was done in my home then another 2 months before a decision was made he got it btw but very stressful as I suffer with GAD I'm certainly not looking forward to it coming round again

      All in all took around 14-15 months but then was when pip first came into effect then got payment backdated I have a friend who's got GAD OCD arthritis can hardly walk in a real mess she got turned down and appealed also got turned down so don't be too disheartened if you spend all this time to be let down by the system
