Hi Mace, my hands are really bad, my memory is steadily getting worse I'm not sure if it's recently or not. I have noticed i get worse in the warmer weather maybe you do too? My feet are painful they feel like they are full of glass that crunches when I walk. My hands feel like they've got an electric current running through them, they burn and get stabbing pains too. Does this sound like yours?

Sorry to intrude, Shelah, have you tried Piracetam and Soy lecitin for brain function? Teresa

I haven't Teresa, is that over the counter meds?

Hi Shelag, it's not med at all it's just magnesium sulphate it takes it's name from saline springs in Epsom, Surrey cheesygrin. Tha baths work like a spa allowing the beneficial properties magnesium to penetrate through the skin.

It's a very old remedy...I believe you'll find them in a local chemist or order online.

You're so dishearted... I'll send a couple of links.

      XX take care. Teresa.

Oh Shelag I made a mistake: you were talking about the Piracetam and the Soy lecitin! Sorry!

Piracetam is prescription (you can ask your GP on the grounds that you feel you're having brain fibro fog) but I know ther are online sites that sell it.

Soy lecitin is just a supplement you'll easily find in your local health shop. 2000mg/day. If you prefer look for Choline, same place.  wink

PS - Piracetam as a generic (brand name is Noostan) is quite inexpensive and so is Soy Lecitin.

    Hi Mace

My jaw tends to click and I was told by my GP that it's because I grind my teeth at night time.  I'm not convinced with that theory, buy I have had this for many years now. My hands have always been fairly weak and I get constant pains and having to click them at the knuckles to  release the trapped air(or whatever it it is), again I have these  feelings for over 20yrs.  My hands are fairly weak that i struggle to hold things for a long period of time.

Fibro is definitely a challange in our daily lives.

Gentle hugs and take care wink x

Hi Bee and Mace; regarding the jaw and having trouble eating, yes... have been referred to a Specialist  and he says "it's from grinding my teeth" too;  but I'm not convinced either, as my jaw is NOT as sore in the morning as it becomes after talking and eating....I have bought the mouth brace, and yes, it maybe helping a little, but still not convinced it's from Grinding my teeth....I think that is the General concensis, and have not yet connected it to Fibro.....so please that you both have this, and needs to be noted in GeorgiaS'  book...for the Professionals to note.   As for the "weaknees" in hands...yep to that too...have got myself into a Lot of trouble for dropping things...I feel as if I have hold of them, but no...they just "seem to slip" through my fingers   (the amount of things I hae broken...including saucepans/our griller)....with my feet, they seem to have "widened" this last year...shoes that I wore last year could not fit into (which upset me, as I always kept my good shoes in their boxes to protect them, and looked brand new).....as for Brain fog...very much soooo this week....I feel very weak and tired...how some are still working, I feel very sorry for them, and wonder how they manage???   Will try and leave on a more cheerful note, after such a demoralising blog...wink.....Bron

Poor you Bron..really feeling for you..it was you who suggested arthritis gloves I think...anyways I bought a great cotton and licra pair - called IMAK.. ...they are just amazing..still have the aches and pain...but not as bad, but they do allow me to do sooo much. Sooo supportive...I.even peeled potatoes in them the other day..unreal.....great grip...couldn't do that before even....just kept dropping them..along with everything else...lol ....I don't mind getting them wet or  dirty, they dry lovely...they are grey in colour..fingerless of course..  I have ordered another two pair, keep one pair for going out...a but like Sunday best when I was a child lol...really hope things improve for you...it's very cold down here in Tas..and that's what making the OA play up...come on summer...no, I really like winter it's just soo beautiful here..always warm inside though...have a lovely day Bronwyn ..be blessed..:-) xx..

PS..not a demoralising blog, just a truthful one, one we can all empathise  with..

Thankyou Christine; and yes I knew I had mentioned gloves to "a Chistine", but put my foot in my mouth a few days ago, as there must be another Christine on line (never remeber the numbers that go with names)....I really did think my "fog" had got the better of me.....as to Tasmania, as I've said before, I think it is Beautiful....told you re my time there with my hubby, when he was working on the Margate Bypass Ring at the head of Hobart...which is  really beautiful city....so pristine....if anyone wants a relaxing holiday, they should go to Tasmania...we were there from January to June, so sampled some of both seasons, loved it, and so many places to visit...........talk again soon (and I will take note of your number beside your name, so that I don't get confused again....Bron
