Has the forum got M.E again ??

I found your article quite helpful.

I just recently had a diagnosis of CFS and did not believe or understand what it was about. It is good to know in your article that may there be some options and support to improve this condition. It is also helpful to know there are books or organisations that may be good for me during this period. I have found that doing a little bit of excercise make me tired but helps me to avoid depression or feeling part of the community.

    Hello #Carole

I have had ME for 6 and a half years and I fought it and fought it and sometimes I still do, especially when family treat me like a fraud.

But on the whole I tend to think that ME is co-habiting with me, in my body, and I allow it to be there so long as it leaves me alone and doesn't make a nuisance of itself.

At times it crosses this boundary but I have usually done something to allow it to do that.

It really is a matter of learning to live with it rather that suffering from it.

I wish you well and welcome to our forum.

Don't hate yourself Rachel, you are unique and amazing. Don't even spend time hating your condition because a lot of nervous energy is taken up in hating and resenting, energy that you could put to better use.

I have been there, hating everyone and everything. It is very tiring and wears you down.

    Hello everyone!

For anyone who is new to this forum they are probably thinking I am writing about incontinence!

Yep I just wanted to share with you my first night in what appears to have been ages of not sweating! The washing machine gave me a big smile too this morning :D when I came down without any linen to wash! My hubbiess toodled off to work without having to of had a shower and me well as sad as it sounds I feel "suited". :D :D :D How sad I here you all think sad but it really has been such a pain waking up wet through and shaking cold.

    HOWEVER.........................................

My hubbie says that for the past two night when I have been asleep my legs have been spasming and waking him up. He says that they dont just twitch they kick out! I can only think that becasue I am not reaching the stage four sleep and having such strong dreams I an re-inacting them? Or possibly I am having the Restless Leg Syndrome without realising it?

    Any suggestions??

    Donna x

P.S Thinking about it I did notice my hubbie looking like death warmed up and limping down the drive today? Mmmmm I think I ought to get myself to the butchers today to make him a nice piece of steak for his tea :D

    Hi Donna

Yes, indeed, I did think it was going to be about bedwetting!!! smile

Well, hopefully this non-sweaty night will be the first of many - at least your hubby hasn't thrown you out into the spare room!! I moved out by mutual agreement, but then I am older than you and have already had a fair share of things - if you know what I mean!!

It's my restlesss arms which are the pain at the moment- it's like having

little insects crawling under the skin and you just have to move them - so I'm flinging them around in the air (my arms that is) to try and find relief.

The feeling is hard to describe but it's a bit like your teeth being on edge, if you see what I mean. :? :?

Anyway, the sun is shining here and everything looks gorgeous (except me, of course - oldbag!), but I'm going to go out there and ....

    OVERDO IT!!!!!!

    So there - ME!!!!!!smile

    Take care, everyone.

Katie x :dog: (Going to take dog for a LONG walk!)

hi donna i was wondering do u drive, if so how do u cope as i've been having driving lessons since january 08. i'm almost there with hoping to be in for the big test & if u had any input for me, talk later rachel xx.

Good luck with the driving test Rachel, how does the concentration affect you?

Katie, my dog is on short walks because he has a relapse of his digestive problems and has lost 1.3 kilos in weight in 3 months. Vet thinks he's not absorbing his food properly.

Donna, glad you have had a dry night. Sometimes I only wake up once, sometimes several times, like last night. It does so disturb your sleep and leave you feeling so tired.

Good to here you have had a dry night.

Rachel good luck with your driving can't offer any advice but don't stress about it as it will only make things worse.

Rachel - yes all the best with the driving smile

Just a tip - it's probably best not to mention petrol/diesel to Donna - rather a sore point! sad

Alicia - I'm sorry to hear about Max's problems - that's a lot of weight for a little Westie to lose - poor little chap :cat: (Thought maybe a pic. of a moggy might cheer him up!) smile

Well, I'm now off to sunbathe now and get some good old Vit. D.

Do any of you have problems trying to read - I find I just can't concentrate for more than a couple of pages - then my eyes go all fuzzy too. sad It's not as if I'm reading War and Peace either - just rather a soppy novel. I used to love reading. sad
