Have HV2 & just got painless pimples- is it an ob or something else?

Posted , 5 users are following.

I was diagnosed with HV2 a few months ago after my first outbreak. I haven't had another outbreak since and have been very careful. I just noticed a few painless bumps while shaving, and I would not have even known they were there otherwise.

Is it possible to have a 100% painless outbreak? Just want to know if I should start meds again.

Any/all insight helpful. Thank you!!!

I'm probably not experienced enough to answer this as I'm still having my first outbreak but I've done quite a lot of research and it seems like it is possible to have a painless outbreak, did you notice any tingling or anything before it?

This gives me hope to be honest that future outbreaks might not be as bad as this first one is

Thanks for your reply. Ever since I had my first outbreak, I've been very paranoid & noticed a little bit of tingling here and there but nothing crazy. I'm just hoping that they shrink soon.

And I know how bad the first one is, but you will get through it! Hopefully you're on medication & theyre starting to kick in. My first ob was completely gone after the first week on meds

Well, is there any itching and tenderness to them? What color are they? What do they look like?

I finally two months ago got off daily meds and decided to see what would happen through an ob and I was fine. I haven't had anything that hurts since my primary. Uncomfortable and tender yes, painful, no

Can I ask a personal question are you in a relationship? My boyfriend is being extremely supportive and we don't know if I caught it from him or someone previously but I'm so worried about having sex again once this outbreak is over in case I give it to him

I don't know at all, he can't get tested unless he has an outbreak according to the nurse at the clinic. He's totally open to the fact that it could of been him that have it to me, apparently symptoms can be so mild in men they don't notice so I guess there's no way of knowing really

I would go to another place and see if he can get tested, not just for yours and his wellbeing, but that of future partners, so he can inform them of his status. Don't take a nurses word for it, they are clueless. . I think it is highly likely he gave it to you and he is asymptomatic. 80% of people w genital herpes are asymptomatic, but spread the disease. So I would take precautions and request daily suppressive therapy to lower transmission risk.

Yes it's possible. I have outbreaks that sometimes have pain or none. Any bumps that appear on your genitals since you have herpes are more than likely heroes. When you have a breakout you usually have signs you're going to have one. Migraines, cold like symptoms, tingling or itch in genitals. Even if you just have symptoms you have to take meds
