Hi Ladies

I am 9 weeks a & p repair and decided to vacuum up yesterday for the first time.  It is a light vacuum cleaner and I did several rooms. Pegged out 2 lots of washing and some light pottering jobs  but last night and again this morning I feel heavy low down at the front and at the tops of my thighs on the inside and feel I need "hutching up". So worried is all ok you imagine the prolapse is back and have I done too much any advice ladies ? It's hard at this stage as I feel I need to crack on with stuff now  xx

diane I think you did do too much but I very much doubt you've done any damage so today you are going to have to rest, feet up and do as little as possible. Your body is telling you it's too early to take on so much.

Hi worried , just how many weeks did you rest up 100%? I was due back at work next week - 6 weeks post op, but after calling in yesterday and aching so much down there after only 5hrs . I have told my boss I will be in for half days only for next 2 weeks. I know I did over do it though yesterday as workplace was disdusting and I just lost it and went at it like a bull at a china gate to fix it.. I was so angry no one had cleaned for 7 weeks, MM don't seem to notice or maybe more like don't care if tiolets etc are clean or not. So hoping gradula return will be better as on my feet alot of time and desk job rest.

Hi Diane, I know it is tempting to crack on with stuff especially if your work and home have been neglected for the past 9 weeks! Our MM promised to help well mine did and I did see him work the vacuum cleaner at least twice during the past six weeks but little else. I felt okay like you and at 5 weeks thought I should be ok to return to normal duties - WRONG!!!! I helped hubby in garden, just light work and that was ok , so I thought great and as I had visitors coming , I set about vacuuming etc. I coped ok but next day I ached down there and was so tired I slept 10 hrs straight. I rested up for rest of week and felt much better. I was due back in at work next week and wanted to see just how much workload was waiting for me so I called in yesterday. BIG MISTAKE! I found that no one had cleaned or vaccumed for 7 weeks and I couldn't even see my desk for paperwork - I was shattered just looking at it. The tiolet was my first priority as you can image men and one tiolet - need I say more. Took me 3 hours to clean the tiolet and associated rooms and then I tried to vaccum but after only 15 mins the vacuum cleaner gave up the filter was so blocked from the 7 weeks worth of dust it just wouldn't pick up.. probably good for my health that that happened as when I sat down to rest now almost 5 hours after I went in just to check on things I was aching really badly in my vulva area just like Matron had said. I had a big crack at my boss and told him I was going home to rest and that following what had just happened I didn't intend to return until after he had vacuumed and then I was only coming in half days. I was shattered , so drained and exhausted. Today I am truly suffering it aches so much down there so I am having a floppy day with icepacks and plenty of horizontal R & R. Sorry for long post but bottom line ITS JUST NOT WORTH YOUR HEALTH is it? Take it from me it's not. So try and get some help I am. Told boss and at home, going to more assertive. Hope you will too and ignore that voice that says a little won't hurt because if you are anything like me you won't know when to stop. So just do a little single task for an hour and then rest . Seeing my specialist this coming Tuesday and hoping like you that I haven't over done it and op was a sucess. Take it easy and try not to worry , just rest up when you overdo it . Have you seen your specialist post op yet?
