hello..so nervous to have 2nd eye done in 2 days. first eye done 4 days ago. news came on tv that the hospital had first corona ER tested positive patient on monday..yesterday.

I know things will get worse..maybe even drs cancelling all elective surgery.

so should I get this done thurs (2 days)..

we are only going to have more confirmed as daysgo by.

the 10 min is not all the time in hospital. they have u check in 1.5 hrs before surgery etc. then recovery time.

nervous as I am I really do need this otherwise I wont be able to drive at night (which I do every night for like 15 min)

what do you all think? go for second eye in 2 days right? (vision in unoperated eye is basically legally blind without glasses, which I cant wear glasses now because good eye tested 20/20 day after surgery and 4 days after.

crista8, I don't know why you say if your procedure were this week you would not be concerned but since it's the 23rd you are concerned? Just farther out and more chances for patients to show up at Wills who are possibly at risk....?

Anyway .... I wish you the best on your surgery.

    ayaye,

    Best wishes on your surgery.

There are some doctors who like to do one to two weeks between surgeries, but I personally am glad I have had extra time between mine. I'm having my 2nd one done next week and that is about seven or eight weeks post op ....... I personally needed the 'breathing time.'

I would echo Ron AKA regarding not worrying overmuch about the CV 19 especially at a hospital because as he said they might not admit the patient and secondly if they were to admit the patient, they are really good at the isolation procedures, as far as I can tell.

I do understand not wishing to bring home anything risky to one's kids, of course, or to other family members.

    Best wishes.

My first surgery went well, but I can't help being anxious about the next one - I think anxiety is kind of expected prior to any procedure. So, I am anxious ....kind of...... no matter what is going on. 😃
