Ive been on Citalopram for nearly nine weeks now and after having a really bad day on Tuesday, I’ve had two better days. Does anyone know if this means that the Citalopram is starting to help me because when I have spoken to my doctor he just wants to up me to 30mg from 20mg as he said that I should have seen an improvement from 4weeks. I just want this nightmare to end. Citalopram 20mg has worked amazing for me in the past, I just wish id never stopped taking it.

Yes it's working...don't increase your dosage other wise the night mare will restart...sorry to be so hard with my comment.. experience verses a professional always wins..

Gemma,
I aggree with Lois. I wouldn’t increase it. Stay where you are. It’s working. Some of our bodies take longer to adjust. I know I’m definitely one of them. You had a couple of good days 🙏🏻🙏🏻👍🏼👍🏼 You will have more good ones around the corner. 😇Drink water and go for a walk. I swear by walking. It helps the anxiety dissipate. I’m praying for you🙏🏻🙏🏻

Al,
i was feeling better after my vacation. But I've developed pain in my upper left side gum area and it's making me nuts. I've been to the dentist 2x and I'm fine. So it's gotta be the celexa😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁.
im off today and tomorrow so I'm going to occupy my mind and keep busy with the warm weather. I'm going to do a post later about my teeth. This forum has really helped me get through these horrendous times.
Thanks for checking in on me. I'm still at 10mg and today starts week 15.

Vacation sounds amazing to me right now. I am planning on going to South of France later this summer, anticipating I will be ok by then. Just so you know, I had face and tooth ache last week with celexa intro period, I have seen it mentioned on here elsewhere aswell! Managed to have a relatively normal day today, admittedly it isn't coming all together naturally but it is doing the job. How have you progressed with 10mg? I am on 20mg at the moment 10 seems a low dose?

Sorry to hear that Lois. I'm the same with sertraline can't take it, it is hell. they should have changed it well before 8 months citalopram is a breeze in comparison (for me). The right AD for you will function as it should. With cit it is all going to plan right down to the timeframe

That sounds like hell Lois, how did you manage to get through it? So pleased you have recovered and to use your words have now found your weak spot. 😊.

You know Paula after trying so many different antidepressants and really having no hope I said what the hell let's try this last one..which was celexa..so going thru all those horrible side effects weren't as bad as my burning head paresthesia.imagine having a million fire ants biting you in the head for two months 24 hours a day..so the side effects of celexa where nothing. So I held on just because of that..and the longer I was on the celexa the more my burning scalp subsided..so yea the side effects outweigh my symptoms. .but in the end I recovered .

Hey Al,
I’m doing well with 10mg. My panic attacks have dicipated and I’m getting my energy back and feeling good. This teeth pain and face/gum pain is making me crazy. It comes in waves. I’m sorry you had it but it comforts me that it’s just not me. I just started my 15th week today. This celexa is a mind trip.

Good Morning Lois!🌞🌞
I guess you and I have very fragile bodies. Lol that means we need to be pampered! Lol thank you for your support it means the world to me. Yesterday it only came once for about 30 min. I’m Thinking that when I’m at work like this past week and I get really stressed it happens. The funny thing is I know I’m stressed but since this Celexa I don’t have any other effects like I used to get. For me this Celexa at 10mg is a wonder drug. 😇😇😇😇

Hey will, my panic attacks subsided almost instantly with celebs good to hear yours have too. Seem to be going up the levels, instead of being fearful and housebound i am now frustrated and wired. Mind trip Haha! Is a good word for it. I don't know where the anxiety stops and the cekexa begins 🤔
