Having a terrible time on floroxidene, do I keep going?

Right I'll try and explain as short as possible, I'm 42 and at 25 I started the menopause and got ME which led to depression.

so I started citalapram 30mg I was on these for 15 years but stopped working so on 1st Dec I've changed to 20mg floroxidene has been a hard time lots of side effects and sleep not great.

still felt low so upped them to 40mg and just not slept at all so gone back down to 20mg,

ive been payed up in bed since last Tuesday as have flu just to top it off and still not sleeping. 

I really just want to no will the sleeping get better as I have ME I'm tired on a good day so this is really draining me.

    i was on 20mg daily and my sleep was hideous for about the first 6 to 8 weeks, it only really seetled as i started to feel better and be a bit more active myself so I was actually tired. It is completely normal now . Good Luck and keep going x

      Thank you for reply, sometimes you just need to hear others and the encouragement to keep going. 

      I don't think the flu on top is helping either x

    definitely, thats why this site is so good. I kept referring to it when my tablets were taking so long to kick in, the Dr was saying 2 to 4 wks and i still felt awful at 6 to 8 wks. Its good to see other people have got through what you are going through xx

      I'll see how I go hopefully once this flu has gone I'll get a better idea, mind just don't feel my sleep will settle xx

    I was on 20mg since Jan 9. So I just upped it yesterday to 40mg. It hasn't "kicked in " yet. Still low mood. But having middle back pain like its my kidney or liver. An pain in front in middle. My gallbladder is gone so cant be that. Sleep is so so. Sometimes I have to take .5mg Klonapin to help sleep. I hate going up cause I think its affecting my liver enzymes. Zoloft did that to me back a yr ago. Lost tone of wt. Iv lost 10lbs in 5 an half wks.

      how did you sleep last night on 40mg? I spent the night tossing and turning was a nightmare just could not get to sleep xx

      I took my .5mg Klonapin an slept ok. Had a hard time getting up though this morning. Today in afternoon had a few brain zaps. Wierd. But my energy is up a tad an not so sad today. I actually cleaned kitchen an made pork chops an potatoes in oven. An wasn't rude to my parent's who Im caregiver to. My anxiety gets bad that I just end up yellin at everyone. Then feel sad cause I did an bawl. Didnt do that today. We'll see.....

    Going through similar and on day 42. Was on citalpram before for years. The side effects suck plain and simple. For me I'm back to thinking of a long weening off and being off ssri,'s period. Not saying that's for you but I'm just tired of this and not happy with my new physiatrist.

      Was citalapram just not working anymore? Not sure what I'll do if I don't settle on this xx
