having problems reduced dose :(

hello, as some of you may already know I was recently taken off my comfortable 40mg dose of fluoxetine due to a process of elimination finding out the cause of some liver troubles recently showing up on blood tests, the source is probably the statin I was taking for umpteen years, but apparently the fluox could have been making the liver worse? if that makes sense! so fast forward to next blood test on the 16th, if liver function has gone back to normal I think I can resume the 40mgs fluox, and try an alternative statin, I bloody hope so because the sudden reduction of my fluoxetine is driving me nuts again, higher anxiety levels, stressing over the slightest thing, headaches creeping back, still eating n sleeping ok thankfully. jeez I'm a moaning old git now hahaha cheesygrin take care ya all, will update soon, xx

      thankyou for your message! sad to say it's a downward spiral for me at the moment, nothing to do with the Flux, or lack of it, at least I do'nt think so. Further blood test today, consultant app on Friday (respiritory) bah humbug, I had got to a happy place not many weeks ago, now here I am struggling to function. Thanks again, hugs back at you smile

      hey hello Vix, am still here, just quieter than usual. the enigma that is me is still baffling my gp, as in despite stopping the statin altogether and reducing the fluox by half my liver enzymes are still not as they shoud be according to latest blood tests, so another test next Thursday and await an ultra sound of the liver, I have been told that possible long term statin use has caused this, so await some answers with baited breathe! the 20mg of fluoux that I have left is not doing much for me sadly, my anxiety levels are rocketing every day, so much has happened in such a short space of time finding it increasingly difficult to cope.... damn

      Poor you! You've really been through the mill.:-( and you were doing so well on the 40mg - its so unfair.

      I can't really offer words of comfort as until this medical issue is identified and sorted I guess they cant do much about your dose. Just keep getting out for exercise and keep busy.

      Remember youre not alone, we're all still here to chat or have a good old rant too if it helps.
