Hi Lorraine, Happy New Year, I hope you are well. I went back to my Doc on Tues and she said I could just stop the tablets which I did. Since then I have loterally had a good day then a bad day, each day seems to alternate. I felt really well last night and today was bad again. I didn't feel like this before the tablets, do you think this is them coming out of my system? xx

Happy New Year Lorraine. I quit my tablets Tues after seeing the doc. I've been so up and down, good day then bad day, do you think it's the tablets still coming out of my system? xx

      Hi nikki

yes unfortunately they can take a little while to leave your system. It's dependent on how long you were taking them. How long was you on them altogether? And what dose? Xxx

Hi Lorraine, I was only on them about 16 days at 10mg, I was supposed to up to 20 which I did for a couple of days but went back to the 10mg. The Doc said snout 3 days tocome out of my system so today is day 4. I feel very shaky but I'm hoping things will gradually get better. xx

      Hi nikki

clearly your doc hasn't taken antidepressants before! Although you were only on them 16 days it will still take a couple of weeks for all the side effects to fully disappear. Dizziness and shakes are common side effects, unfortunately these are the last to leave you! Let me know how you are later.

      xxxx♥

Hi Lorraine, I'm still feeling the muscle twitches and I have restless legs at night in bed which stops me from sleeping. Today is day 6 off of them. I still feel anxious (worse than before I started the tablets) but the Kalms are helping somewhat. Is this likely to still be from stopping the tablets do you think? xx

      Unfortunately it is Nikki

Ii took me around ten days to start feeling normal again. Just hang in there a few more days and you should be fine. Please let me know how you get on. The restless leg is the worse bit and so annoying.

Not much longer nikki..your on the home stretch ♥

Hi Lorraine, I went back to my Doc today and he has prescribed lofepramine, have you heard of it? I'm very wary of taking anything else after the last time. I've got a few days of diazepam for now which is helping massively xx

Hi nikki. lofepramine is an antidepressant which seems to be quite a good one looking at the reviews. Most people say when starting it they felt slightly dizzy and had a dry mouth. But sounds like the side effects don't last long. When are you starting it? Please keep me updated on how they make you feel. When I changed antidepressants I knew on day 2, I was on to a winner! Keep in touch doesn't matter how frequently. ..here for you xx

Thanks Lorraine. Since taking the diazepam this morning I can't tell you how much better I feel. I have only taken 2 tablets; 4am and 9am. I have been able to do some work and my whole life seems to have come back. It also worked for me a few years ago when I had a stressful time during a family argument. I have decided to stick with just that for now and see how I feel at the end of the course. I have so much anxiety around taking anything else I am going to be very cautious. If I could turn the clock back I wouldn't have taken the Citalipram, I was feeling better at the time and in hindsight don't think I needed such a strong medication. I figure I can always try the new tablets it if I don't feel better or remain feeling better at the weekend. Thank you as always, you are a big help. xxxx

Bless you nikki. I think you are doing absolutely without question the right thing. I would be over the moon to be able to function without an antidepressant! I'm working towards that goal xxx
