Do you have tmj? Pop in a tmj forum thats a classic symptom when your jaw muscles from bruxism (stress related sadly) are inflammed or enlarged and the muscles lean in the eustatian tubes causing clogged blocked ears. Thats fixable with a custom made soft solint made by a soecialist or a knowledgeable dentist but the soft splint needs to be thick.and you sleep in it and in ten days from its use your muscles calm down and your blocked ears start to resolve.

Did your doctor tell you this cause my left ear constantly has this whooshing sound and I've been meaning to talk to my doc about it to see if it had anything to do with my anxiety. I thought it was just me!!!!

Homestly go to a dentist before you resign it to anxiety. Whoosing can be anxiety..pain no that would be tmj. Tmj is caused by anxiety but the jaw gets physically injured from it and its fixable. I have dealt with ear issues a while now i soeak from experience. Bruxism and blood pressure are usually behind ear issues when your ears check Out as fine. And a soft mouth splint whilst you sleep is easy enough and so is a low salt diet. Be nice for it to calm itself down wouldnt it. You might have a low roar thing forever but its maskable with a fan and not annoying as when it gets clogged or painful or is pulsitile. Anxiety does cause physical, issues at times and bruxism is ine of them as is blood pressure as well. A dentist will know in a five minute exam.

      Hi Kara

Yes Ive had it all checked because the whooshing came with dizziness and nausea, I thought it was an ear infection but the doc said all was ok and it was part of my anxiety, the symptoms are ever endingmad.

      Just got to power oncheesygrin

I,ve had it too unfortunately, last summer for a few months, both ears felt half blocked, plucked up courage to go to the doctors cos I have a phobia of doctors, and he said that he couldn,t see any thing wrong with my ears, which worried me even more, after a few weeks they got bit better but they are not perfect now, still feel slightly muffled at times..I,m sure it is anxiety related but that don,t help much does it..
