I am 44 and have had this go on for the last 2 years. I'm convinced its from perimenopause. It feels like a quick flutter. Can be short lived or several times throughout the day. When I hear my heart or feel my pulse I can definitely feel a skipped a beat. Had it checked, but nothing came of it other than PVCs.

It's always good to get your heart checked out when you start having odd symptoms, but try not to stress about it too much.

    Hi ladies,

2 years ago I had terrible bleeding, including an embarrasing one at the mall where the ladies toilet had to be closed to accommodate me. After several days of heavy bleeding I noticed palpitations and additional heart beat. I ignored it for a few days until I felt so aweful I took myself to a cardio. There they found my BP was raised. They put me on 24 hour holster to monitor my heart. With all the tests, they found that although my heart is generally good, I am having bad palpitations and addtional heartbet. So it was explained that losing lots of blood, our hearts are struggling to beat because of lack of oxygen. Thats the reason for palpitations and extra heart beat, and for some, raised BP too. So 2 year on, I am now taking meds to manage my BP.

I thought I am done w menopause, but sadly, I still have symptoms like NO ENERGY, light headedness, dizzy and excessive sweating.

I am glad I have God and my FAITH. I draw my strength from praying knowing that these too will come to pass. I keep telling myself, God will deliver me from these and one day I will be restored to health. He has never failed me. MENOPAUSE brought out several health scares. Nodules on my breast, tumours in liver, digestive problem...etc. But the power of a praying woman is great. One by one all these issues were cleared.

I do agree that this is our lives and let us not be defeated by our troubles. I remind myself to celebrate life and spend time with my husband and children. Although sometimes we feel alone in what we are going through, specially if our husbands are clueless, but open your windows, look up, everyday is beautiful and THANK GOD!

Hang in there ladies. These too will come to pass.
