Hello. It's very difficult for any of us to be able to reassure you jamandar and I really think you need to speak to your GP. I presume your consultant has discharged you now? If not ring her secretary. I'd be surprised if anything has gone wrong since your appointment but you aren't going to rest until you've had a medical opinion

I'd get advice from you GP or try ringing consultants secretary. Even though I'd been discharged my physio rang and got me an appt within 10 days. Always worth a try and may ease you worries. Good luck. X

Once you are discharged under NHS rules it has to be another referral.

Sorry pressed the wrong button. A GP can fast track a referral though due to the short time jamandar was discharged (if she has been that is). I saw my Urogynaecologist 3 times following my surgery.

I was so lucky I didn't have to be referred again. It had only been 2 wks since I'd been discharged and was still under my gyny physio who got me the appt with the consultant as she seen him on ward rounds. Would have hated having to wait to be re referred. X

It makes sense if you're still in the system to let you be seen without a referral. In my area that wouldn't be classed as being discharged because the gynae physios are part of the team so officially if a lady is still having physio she's still under the care if the Urogynaecologist because the physio still reports back to him about how the woman is coping etc.

Thanks ladies for your feedback. My consultant discharged me after the post op appt on 1st July. I guess im going to go to my gp and see what he says. Im debating whether to pay privately and see a urogynae to get a second opinion. My consultant was very happy when she examined so why am i so uncomfortable 10 days on?
