This past week and a half my symtoms have gotten much much worse. I've also developed some new symtoms. They seem to think I am exaggerating the intensity of my symtoms and that I can't possibly be suffering everyday from attacks after eating the bland diet food they told me to eat.
I've lost two pounds in a week cause I'm barely eating. These past two days I've eaten a few bites of chicken broth from a soup and a few crackers. My symtoms are still getting more intense everyday.
I went to a surgeon appointment yesturday that I got after going to the ER on Saturday. The ER doctor was the only doctor whos taken me seriously. She said unless it's infected he won't take it out right now. She told me I need it out asap and that at this point anything I eat is going to trigger it. Which I already knew. She also said she is very worried I'm in the beginning stages of infection and the blood results won't pick it up yet.
Surgeon says I can't possibly be having a attack after eating what I am. And that Tylenol should be helping and he doesn't understand why the ER prescribed something different. Tylenol, Ibuprofen, and naproxen do nothing at all for me anymore.
This past week I have been suffering from
severe stomach pain,
severe nausua and dry heaving,
yesterday I vomited,
lightheadedness I feel quite sure sometimes that I am going to pass out, dizziness,
severe migraine,
weakness,
a weird feeling I cannot find the words to describe,
sharp pains in my lower and upper back, both my shoulders and sometimes my chest as well,
my chest feels very heavy like something is sitting on top of it,
I am extremely fatigued and am barely getting any sleep, plus not eating.
If I eat anything at all I end up getting all of these symptoms on a very severe level on top of a weird (heart jumping out of your chest feeling) at night it's all much worse.
Also both ER doctor and surgeon doctor pushed on the area my gallbladder is and each time I immediately felt a warm flushing feeling as well as nausea and pain.
I have a appointment in two weeks to get it removed but I'm worried something is very wrong and no one will look into it because they can't be bothered.

i feel for you sounds like my story and it’s extremely frightening Lacy I totally understand.
niw what was your white blood cell count lacy ? It’s very important !!
normal is between 4 and 11 any higher and your gallbladder could be infected ok fact .
i was treated the same way as seems like you are and I lost my mind to be honest .
my white blood cell count was elevated more and more over 3 years right up to 19
‘and each time I was sent home being offered morphine which I told them to poke each time.
i was sent away and away and away I even had 7 private ultrasounds done and my reports were different every single time , but in the end the oats time I was told my condition was very serious and something had changed ,
‘I went to my gp showed report and asked for a referral for a private ct scan that I had booked in Harley street and my s**t gp even refused me a referral !!
luckily I had a surgeon lined up and also managed to get a referral on line the next day ,
i was operated on the next day privately and was told I had hours to live not days hours .
my gallbladder was gangrene and I’m extremely lucky to be alive indeed.
i had all the same symptoms as you Lacy !!
DO NOT SIT ON YOUR HANDS HERE !
DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT OK ?
these people don’t care if you die they still get paid my dear !!
your likely in a very dangerous situation!!!
goid luck I wish you all the best dear.
what country are you in ?

Hi Lacey1881, a blood test will show infection but the real way with the tummy is heat, if your tummy is hot and right side you then then start thinking infection, I do not understand the meds prescribed but I have heard of them being used before but it is odd I have to say. Everything you say is what I gone through and I only just had a recent attack after control by diet and near all of what you stated is what I suffered. And they tell me that its not my GB at fault which is ludicrous.
Trust me sweety your getting fast responsive action and I don't think you need to worry, another quick test they can do is a HIDA test which proves the Liver, GB & Pancreas are all working properly but Infection is what is driving the quick response I feel.

the hida scan is not a quick test .
as for feeling heat in your tummy for infection lol
well I’m not a doctor and maybe Julian is but I doubt it very very much lol
as my gallbladder was extremely infected for a very long time , long enough for it to have turnt completely gangrene lol and I had no heat on my tummy lol now that comment and the comment that a hida scan can tell you if your pancreas is functioning correctly , I ASSURE YOU IS UTTER DRIVEL !
ide also like to say that if the medical profession are telling Julian that it’s not his gallbladder at fault , that ide be INCLINED TO LISTEN TO THEM AND NOT HIM ?
AS THEY ARE THE PROFESSIONALS IN THEIR FIELD AND NOT JULIAN.
AND IF THEY SAY ITS NOT HIS GALLBLADDER, THEN ITS NOT HIS GALLBLADDER !
I CAN ASSURE YOU THE MEDICAL PROFESSION KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING WHEN COMES TO GALLBLADDERS AS IN USA THEY REMOVE SOME HALF A MILLION A YEAR , AND IN THE UK SOME 60,000 A YEAR , AND ILE GUESS JULLIAN HAS REMOVED NONE !
please be careful where you get your information from Lacey!
LISTEN TO YOUR MEDICS NOT ANYONE ON HERE AND THAT INCLUDES ME , AS WE ARE NOT PROFESSIONALS IN THIS FIELD !!

Julian.
so you insult me and tell someone to disregard anything I say ?
i ask you to back up what you’ve said and basically give me an explanation as to why you said it,
‘and you can only reply ?
YOU GOT THAT RIGHT LOL LOL ?
I GUESS THE WORLD IS FULL OF FOOLS AFTER ALL THEN AH !
LET ME TELL YOU JULIAN .
i have been through hell and back with my gallbladder problems for 4 years this October the 1st , hell and back to the point where I had hours to live , when it was removed.
i have studied this condition intensively for the whole period, their is not that much that I do not know about this condition be clear about that matey !
YOU ARE A LEARNING WHAT I HAVE ALLREADY FORGOTTEN SUNSHINE!!
AND THEIRS NOTHING EVEN WRONG WITH YOUR GALLBLADDER, YOU JUST BELIEVE THEIR IS !
you should try listening to your medical team and not your dilutions.
and not give mis informd information, about hida scans be able to do what they cannot regards the pancreas!
Lol lol 😝
funny guy.

Hi I am not in the UK. I'm in the USA.
I was in the er for 12 hours from 10:30 at night till 11 in the morning. Doctors said blood results came back fine and from what they see on the ultrasound they preformed I have no infection. Again they told me I must not be eating a bland diet. And they treated me like I was some kinda addict cause I asked for help with the pain cause Tylenol isn't helping. I got sent home with zofran. Told to take Tylenol and not to come back to the er but instead call the surgeon office.
Now I have not been given a HIDA test.
Not even once. Not by anyone that I've been to. Not even the surgeon. I told my bfs when I came home today I do not trust these people to preform surgery on me just based on their personal treatment and attitudes. Now I most definitely do not trust them to do surgery after reading about the HIDA scan and never getting it done.

Lacey.
forget the hida scan Lacey , it’s not important .
some folk here are giving you incorrect advice ok I assure you !!
a hida scan does not tell you weather your pancreas and liver is functioning ok or not as has been suggested
a hida scan only tells you how your gallbladder is functioning ok that’s it fact !!
now if your team know you have gallstones for example then they do not need to perform a hida scan as they know you have stones and that that is what’s causing you the problems and discomfort for example.
if your bloods came back ok as you have been told that’s good news !
however my bloods all came back fine every time for 3 years lol ,except for my white blood cell count which was elevated a little more each time over the 3 year period, and like I said I had gangrene gallbladder and 2 large stones 2.3cm one was lodged in the gallbladder neck ,the cystic duct the whole time , so you can imagine the tremendous pain I went through for 3 years.
BUT AS I STATED !
its the white blood cell count here that matters ok.
now normal range is 4 to 11
‘if yours is within that range , then you clearly do not have an infection within your gallbladder.
simple as that.
contact your medical team and get a copy of your blood results and check yourself !
its an extremely painful condition Lacey.
and very frightening indeed but panic not .
as you are GOING TO BE OK .
in America, they remove some half a million gallbladder each year , and have amazing experience with this surgery, I wished I was in the us when I had my problems.
you even have the gavinchy robot 🤖 in the us where your gallbladder can be removed in one hour with just one incision while you are awake , yes you read that right , your gallbladder removed in one hour while your awake, with just one incision all done to precision, and off home you go .
‘No risk from anaesthetic !!
do your research it’s a fact.
your country has this operation down to a t.
do not panic you will be fine .
come back let us know how things progress as they will.

Honestly I'm not sure what to do. I've already exhausted my options in the city below me. That is were I am supposed to have surgery. They are known to be the better option for health care in the Upstate where I live. Which they are better but only because the county I'm part of is absolutely horrid and I know from personal experience not to go to that hospital after I had complications with my birth and no one there believed for three days me until I ended up having to be rushed into surgery for a emergency c section. All they could tell me was I cannot give birth naturally and that's why I was in such pain and the baby was in distress. They treated me like crap that entire time.
But my options are not good.
I am on Medicaid which also means your automatically treated like crap from doctors hear. I just don't want any complications.
My bfs mom said she had her gallbladder surgery done where I'm supposed to have it done. For 20 years she has suffered from extremely bad diahrea. She's said she's soiled herself way to many times, and for 20 years she's been unable to have intimate time with her husband. She said the first year after she couldn't do anything. She couldn't eat anything at all without running to the bathroom right after so she was stuck at home. She said she gets pain still as well.
I've read this is a complication due to surgery if the surgeons niks you by accident.
I am still very young. I do not want my life to be ruined by having my gallbladder taken out. I do not want my relationship ruined because I cannot be intimate ever again.
I am tired of this pain but honestly if I had to choose this pain or a lifelong inability to not use the bathroom on myself, still only eat a bland diet, and inability to experience life without wearing depends or having a bathroom near by, and never being able to be intimate with my bfs, I'd honestly pick this pain over any of that.

your bf mums experience does not mean this will be yours ok
things have changed a lot in 20 years , and as I said in the us now they have this operation down to a t.
some people do experience the toilet thing after they eat immediately yes but it’s very rare !
chances are your be fine.
and unfortunately if your gallbladder is diseased you cannot and will not be able to live with it inside of you as I found out the hard way.
it will kill you very fast for sure.
your pain is not so bad I know this from your post ,
‘it will however become unbearable to the point where you want to die as I did !
listen to your medical teams advice please !
they know what they are doing !
they know what they are dealing with !
they know how to fix you ok !
do not listen to people on here please this is not a joke this is your life your playing with here !
if they say it needs to come out , then get it out.
the risks of leaving a diseased gallbladder in Lacey are immense I assure you I’m very very lucky to be alive.
as for me I’m now 9 months post surgery and I’ve never once had diahrea quite the opposite is my issue in fact.
and your boyfriends mum issues were not caused by the surgeon nicking her bile ducts either that’s a very rare event these days anyway.
and causes different complications not diahrea ok.
the sooner it’s out the better I think especially for you !!
good luck with your surgery you will be fine

hi Julian.
ide like you to back that up please,
what misinformation have I given ?
fire away im waiting ?
Mrsoscared Guest

let me tell you Julian.
that your misinformation is utter drivel as far as I’m concerned.
the hida scan , cannot and will not tell if your pancreas is functioning normally or not , that is misinformation fact !
it can tell if your gallbladder is functioning correctly
if your liver is functioning correctly.
If you have gallstones.
bile leakages.
Bile duct blockages.
an inflamed gallbladder.
or congenital bile duct defeats from birth.
and that’s it , FACTS.
so you informing someone that it can tell them if their pancreas is functioning correctly is UTTER DRIVEL !
fact . I await your reply lol.
