Help! Herpes..?

Posted , 5 users are following.

A few days ago, i started having some vaginal itching & runny yellow discharge.

last night, painful urination.

Then today i noticed these. I went to the clinic today and had swabs done, but they only wanted to test for chlamydia and gonorrhea. the nurse was 98% sure i have a yeast infection for sure.File size is too big

i didnt notice this until i got back home a few hours later...

could they have missed it?

The pain when peeing seems more in the urethra, not when it makes contact with anything.

Im wondering if its worth another trip or if it could be nothing (I have been scratching here and there although i tried to keep it to a minimum)

It's possibly from the yeast/chlamydia/gonorrhea infection that you might have. It's not uncommon to have areas like that from those infections. Keep us updated.

      Thats reassuring!!

I'll go back to the clinic tomorrow and ask them to take a look & send me for blood work.

Google was my enemy &I read that although yeast infections can cause lesions, i also ended reading that herpes is often misdiagnosed as a yeast infection, i automatically started freaking!

Well, its been diagnosed as herpes.

By this morning there were more & i went back to the clinic.

She took a look and confirmed.

Waiting on the swab results to come back to tell whether which type it is.

Thank you, it took a few days, but all the information out there was extremely reassuring, and its truly shocking how many people are carriers and how many don't even know it!
