Hi I really need to talk! I'm feeling so anxious it's nearly everyday it's making think that this can't be anxiety there must be something serious going on! I feel every pain in my body and worry! At the moment I keep worrying about my heart when I lay in the left side I feel flutters at the side of me and I wake up in the night my heart racing! Through the day my pulse races like I'm having an adeniolin Rush. I've had an X-ray a couple of months ago and I had a few ecg which one doc sed there was something so minor on it that it's nothing to worry about while I was at a and e it was the cardiologist that saw me he did a ecg sed all fine go home he listened to my heart and said it was fine felt like he was rushing me out doc put me on fluxotine again even tho it makes me more anxious my head don't even feel normal I hate this feeling! Can this really be anxiety

Hey Carlie. Sorry to hear you are feeling anxious. When I started out my anxiety journey nearly 30 years ago I was the same as you. I kept questioning my heart beats, got all the tests done and came back normal.
What I suggest is.. If you have had all the tests done and everything else is ruled out. Then accept it's anxiety. It's a terrible thing to have. Once you accept it's part of you it will make your recovery alot easier. With you panicking at your flutters will only make it worse hun. X
Are you on any meds? Gave you spoken to your doctor? There are many meds out there for people like us and also therapy.
Good luck x x

Please try to believe your doctors. I do understand that this is very difficult.
Take your meds and remember that anti-depressants can take up to eight weeks to kick in.

I think my doc just putting everything down to anxiety which is worrying me more!! I've been given fluxotine I do have an underactive thyroid aswell so I don't know if that maybe contributing to this aswell

Underactive thyroid can't be helping, darling.
Are you on meds for this? And please take the prozac and valium.
Some people need MORE therapy. Go for it!
Tess xx

I was born in 66 years ago and when I was born they found a hole in my heart. At that time operations for this problem were not really considered especially if the baby was so small.
I was involved in a car accident and was taken to hospital with breaks to various bones and I had pushed the ribs towards my heart. They took all the tests and found the problem with my heart. I approached my parents and asked i they knew about this condition, they said yes and explained what was the point o telling me. Eventually after various tests they agreed not to do the operation.
I was twenty six then and I had spent those years not knowing about this problem. I am sixty six today and I have had a full life travelling the world and done and seen many things.especially before my car accident. If I had known about this heart condition would I have been a unhealthy child that would have been frightened to do anything that could have killed me. I am now a pensioner and up to now never had a heart condition that put my life in danger.
I am not saying anyone with a congenital heart condition should go and do crazy things.
Life is a risk we all enter, we are here to learn from this life on earth and we are always taking risks.
If you knew about your condition when young would it have made any difference, Would you expect your family to molly coddle you or would you push yourself to learn life secrets. Yes you know of a problem that is slight, do you not feel you need to carry on with a full life.
Life is risky, we live and experience a complex existance that is how we learn.
Enjoy your life we are here for support
