Help! I need someone's 6 week summary after they got their WB?

Posted , 2 users are following.

This is the end of my first week in my WB. I definitely overdid today going grocery shopping. The worst part was getting my heavy groceries up my steps. I had to go up and down them retrieving my bags. I'm entering my 2nd week and I still feel isolated because I really can't go on any extended day trips. Can Anyone give me a week by week synopsis of what they experienced until they went into an ankle brace? And when did you feel pain free? Thnx so much!

    Hi Mary,

Not sure what you mean by WB (weight bearing?) I found shopping to be the hardest thing to do, so had home deliveries and then moved on to picking up shopping from supermarket (they did the shopping for me) I am now out of moon boot 3 weeks and getting around ok. Still need to put the leg up in the afternoon. I try to do all my trips in the morning, and rest in the afternoon. I had friends that would come and pick me up and take me out for a drive, lunch and dinner which really helped me feeling so isolated.

    Cheers

Unfortunately, my close friends live an hours drive away and my closer friend works M-F.  Are you in an ankle brace right now? I think you're right about having Safeway shop for me, then pick it up.

No ankle brace, just compression socks to avoid swelling. I mostly am getting around in my haha joggers, I have also ordered a pair of rocker shoes that supposedly will help me walk.

Have you asked your friends if they will take you out for a bit,

Each day get's a bit easier smile
