So ever since I had my daughter 8 months ago I've had clotting with a period. Some little bits some bigger, I mentioned it to doctor and she said it's common and clots aren't really a worry. I was fine with that but now I'm on day 2 of another period and I'm clotting again, this time it's bigger and like a big piece of jelly, few cramps but get this every month anyway, bigger than before and no pregnancy. I sufffer terrible health anxiety so I fear the worst.
I had a scan after my daughter and ovaries looked fine and just had my Pap smear a few days ago with all normal in past but I think this is something that's cancerous and I'm going to die. I'm so scared and can't get an app with doctor for a few weeks

Hi Gemma. Sorry for being overly graphic: this is something I always experience and I have not had children yet. It is perfectly normal to have this during a period.
When you have children this can sometimes alter the intensity/frequency of your periods for a while. As you say you have not experienced this before then I'm assuming your periods were quite light prior to having children. Slowly your body will find its rhythm again or this may just be how you experience periods now.
If you are worried I would consult your GP but I genuinely do not think you have anything to fear. As I say, I have this every month

Thank you for the reply. Our body does some disgusting stuff and without me sounding disgusting but I just constantly feel it coming out (sorry tmi) I've said to my go before and also to the midwife I seen after my daughter but I'm back again soon so will mention it again. If I know it's nothing I can deal with it its the not knowing that sends me into a state

It sounds like your periods are now quite heavy - and yes, you do feel it and sometimes it can feel very odd.
Your GP or midwife will be able to explain properly when a period should give cause for concern, and reassure you that what you are experiencing is normal. I think you're lucky to have not had his before
Periods are a pain. They also make my anxiety far worse...if your
Periods are heavier this will make you anxious (in my experience,) and could be why you A: are very aware of the feeling and B: why your healthy anxiety is flaring up.

Hi there,
I've never had children and I experience large clots almost every period! I've read that if your periods are heavy, your body is releasing the blood so fast that there isn't time for the natural coagulants to act. I've always had a heavy cycle.

Like the other ladies in the post, I haven't had kids but i experience clotting too, its really nothing to worry about, it just happens when you have a heavy period sometimes. Honestly, its so so normal although not pleasant
