Help me guys

Hi guys. I managed to find some photos of what's going on on my penis. 2 months this way so far, can't take it anymore. Doctor said it's not herpes. IgG negative for genital herpes at 40 days with ELISA 4 generation high sensitivity

Ouch, that looks painful and as if skin is missing! Herpes doesn't look like this, nor would it persist for two months. Were you swabbed for herpes and other possible causes? What did your doctor suggest, since they said it's not herpes. Have they given you any medicine, creams?

Yeah, first doctor urologist said that with 40 days ELISA IgG negative should not be herpes, he thinks it’s candidiasis, so he gave me antibiotics for 15 days, first two pills, then 3 pills, then 5 pills and more 5. The first five pills my penis began to heal good, but when I took the next 10 pills it got worse than before. Now i’m at this dermatologist who also think it’s not Herpes but gave exams of Epstein Barr virus and Cytomegalovirus, which are Herpes as well. And he gave me antivirus and it’s starting to get better actually

Also the first urologist also gave me a strong anti fungal but when I took didn’t work as well man. Antibiotics worked, but anti viral are working better. But the dermatologist gave me a good cream with immuno modulators, so I don’t know from which one is getting better, acyclovir or the cream

Or just because I’m off of antibiotics simply. Many possibilities

I googled penile yeast infections and the photos I found look just like yours in some cases, so I think you're doctor is right. Antibiotics can worsen yeast infections and antivirals should have no bearing. You need antifungals.

I took anti fungal at the beginning and nothing man. Now with the anti virus it’s beginning to heal right. I wonder if it’s the anti virus, or the fact that I’m not on antibiotics no more or the immune modulator cream the doctor gave me. One of the three... if it’s the anti virus could be herpes, right?

But it doesn't look like herpes at all, yet does look like yeast-based balanitis. Google it. Also herpes wouldn't stick around for two months like this. It would be healed after 2-3 weeks.

Also, it should be easy to confirm. Just get it swabbed for herpes, candida (yeast) and whatever else.

First outbreaks are nearly always worse, but they still don't look like that and would still typically clear in 2-3 weeks. Recurrences are much milder and clear within a week.

And regarding low positive, 3.4 for hsv1 are kinda low right? Especially because herpes 4 cytomegalovirus and herpes 5 Eptstein Barr can interfier the result for hsv 1

The crossreaction issue occurs more with the IgM test, if I'm not mistaken, not so much IgG. The only issue with the IgG test is HSV1 causing a low false positive for HSV2 with the HerpeSelect IgG test kit. You may simply have pre-existing HSV1, likely asymptomatic oral, as do two-thirds of the population.

But 3.4 is kinda of a low positive right? I heard that below 3.5 people should do another?
